Author's POV
Pranay came straight into his room from that place, and stood right infront of a big portrait of a very beautiful and elegant lady. He traced his fingers on that portrait lovingly. His eyes were teary, and his lovable gaze was fixed on the portrait of that lady. Soon, a beautiful smile adorned his face, and he said in a peaceful voice,
"You know Sharda... After a long time, after a very long time, the voice of that piano echoed in this mansion... Your piano!"
He thought about the moment, when the melodious tune of the piano, along with the attractive voice of Adhrit, echoed in his ears. His eyes got closed with peace, and satisfaction could be seen very clearly on his face at that particular moment.
He opened his eyes, and the smile adorning his lips grew wider, as he said, looking straight into the eyes of that lady in that portrait,
"And you know, who was playing that piano Sharda? Your son-in-law… Yes, Sharda, you heard it right. Our daughter, your daughter, our princess Anaisha got married… Her husband Adhrit, he is very innocent, and you know, today I saw a glimpse of you in him…"
He continued — his voice much soft than usual. "I was reluctant to get them married earlier, but now, I think, I took my decision early. I thought, Adhrit was also like other's, who wanted to use my daughter for money and status, but now, I don't feel like that anymore. I have observed him closely, keenly, and I am totally assured of his personality now. He is not like other's."
Pranay laughed a little, a soft laugh, which was very rare, and said in a relieved tone,
"I know that, Adhrit isn't happy with this marriage, because the way it happened was definitely wrong, but I also know that, even if I had tried to find, I could never have found anybody else better than Adhrit for our princess....."
"He is a very honest and sincere person.... He is the only boy, I have seen after I don't know how much time, who doesn't care about money, but instead cares about the person.... He doesn't love Anaisha because she has money, nor is he fascinated with the power our family holds.... I know, if you had been alive, you would have also loved him.... He is just like you.... I can see your reflection in Adhrit, and now, I have zero regrets about this marriage..."
He took a deep sigh and said, after thinking deeply about Adhrit,
"Adhrit might remain angry for some time, might resist or deny this relationship for some time, but I know, sooner or later, everything will be fine between them, and they will be a very good couple in the future.... I just hope that, everything becomes normal between them soon, and they both lead a very happy life together....."
After that, he spread a very beautiful and rare smile, and looking at his dead wife's portrait for one last time, with his loving eyes, he left from there.
He went inside his personal study room, to complete his remaining important work.
On the other hand, Jeet's feelings weren’t so different from Pranay's feelings as well,
He was also sitting on his bed with a photo of his dead mother in his hand. Jeet was young, when his mother, Sharda Mehrotra, died after giving birth to Anaisha, but he remembered each and every memory of his mother very well, and today, Adhrit's singing and his piano playing, reminded him of her.
Jeet was remembering, how his mother also used to have the same innocent expressions on her face, and a pure smile adorning her beautiful lips, just like Adhrit.
Jeet always found Adhrit's confidence, his honesty, his self-respect, and his determination very fascinating, but today, his point of view was totally different, because today, he saw a glimpse of his dead mother in Adhrit, and all of his emotions got stirred.
