Obi-Wan spent quite some time figuring out the meal he wanted to cook for Cody and his family. He often made salads for himself, or other light meals, but none of his usual dinners seemed to fit Cody's instruction. Cody told him not to worry about the kids' food preferences all that much but Obi-Wan insisted that he wanted to cook a meal everyone enjoyed and asked Cody for a list of things he shouldn't cook. He regretted that decision later, the list was long.

He eventually figured out that the best idea will be to prepare some meat with a side of rice and some vegetables. But he overestimated the size of his pots, or rather his kitchen in general. It wasn't big enough for cooking for so many people. Obi-Wan ended up cooking the rice in two pots and making the vegetables in round two. He just hoped it was enough food. It seemed like enough food but one could never know with teenagers.

"Are you cooking for an army or something?"

"Ahsoka! I thought you were going to be out with friends for the evening?"

"Someone invited one dude that... I didn't really want to be around so I left," Ahsoka explained. "That doesn't explain why you are cooking two whole packets of rice. I thought you were going for a dinner with a mysterious friend who totally isn't Cody Fett."

"I never denied it was Cody. And we actually are going to have dinner together, I'm bringing it."

"You are cooking dinner for your boyfriend and his children?"

"They are his siblings, Ahsoka. But yes, I am."

"Aww, I thought you were going to do something romantic! Actually, if I came along, I could watch the kids for a bit and you could get some alone time with Cody," Ahsoka suggested with a vicious smile.

"If you want to see Rex, you can just ask." Obi-Wan was pretty sure she wasn't offering this just out of kindness.

"I might consider it. I'll be in my room," Ahsoka announced as she snatched some snack in the fridge and left the kitchen. Obi-Wan was pretty sure texting Rex was one of the first things she was going to do. Teenagers...

Obi-Wan ended up taking Ahsoka with him, after checking with Cody that it was fine. Cody seemed to share his opinion that it will be more than interesting to actually see Rex and Ahsoka interact.

  And interesting it was.

Rex was the one to open the door when Ahsoka rang the bell. He looked like a slightly younger copy of Cody safe for his blonde hair. Obi-Wan expected it as all the Fetts seemed to look pretty similar. He was also glad that Ahsoka had a good taste in men.

"Hello," Rex greeted them both as he held the door open.

"Hi, Rex!" Ahsoka answered cheerfully. "How are you doing?"

"Uh... Good, I guess. What about you?"

"Just the usual." Ahsoka shrugged. "What have you been up to?"

  "Nothing much. You?"

"My life is pretty boring," Ahsoka said. That was a lie, and a pretty awkward one, but Obi-Wan wasn't going to call her out on it in front of Rex. No, he was going to wait for after they left to pick on his little sister like a proper older sibling. For now, he got distracted by Cody's appearance.

"Come in," Cody invited him to a continue into a living room of sorts. "How was your day?"

"Great, thanks for asking. What about you?"

"Fine." Cody shrugged. Obi-Wan could tell he was lying by the way he hesitated before answering. He also noticed the way Cody subconsciously, or at least he assumed it was subconscious, hid his hands in the sleeves of his baggy sweater. But then again, it was rather rare that someone admitted to having a bad day when asked.
