chapter 15: Jamie

A/N this chapter should have come out a while ago, to be honest, but it's fine. Vivian thinks it's time that Jamie meets Siobhan, but how will they both react to each other???...

Siobhans pov:

Jamie is coming back home to vivisns today after being away with his dad for a while. Vivian doesn't like Jamie's dad, but he's good to his son, and that's all that matters. Plus, it's been good for her having someone else looking after Jamie because it meant that she had time to make sure that I was prepared for the day that I met her son, which is today.

We got in the shower together to prepare ourselves for when he got  home. He knows that I exist, and he knows that I am here as we have spoken a few times on the phone while he's been away.

Vivian is clearly nervous about how we will react to eachother but based on what she has told me, Jamie is the sweetest most polite little man on the world and I'm sure if he's anything like his mum, I am going to love Jim like my own if him and Viv are okay with that.

We get out of the shower, and I ask Vivian if I can do her hair for her since we still have about an hour until Jamie returns home. Viv isn't one to say no to that question. She absolutely loves it when I do her hair for her. I love it too. I could sit all day and do it if I was able to.

We had washed her hair, so it was easier to style anyway since it was still wet. I gently brush out her hair with her favorite comb.

"How do you want me to do your hair, sweet girl?"

Vivian takes a moment to think about how she wants me to do it for her. She knows that whatever she says, I will do. People don't actually know this about me, but I absolutely love doing peoples hair, and I'm actually quite good at it.

"Can you just put it in 2 French braides please sweetheart." Vivian said with a smile on her face.

I love doing her hair in French braides. Her hair is quite short, but she honestly pulls it off so well. I love how her black silky hair looks when it's braided.

I do her hair for her and give her a kiss on the forehead every now and then. I can't help it. I love kissing Vivian it's one of my favorite things to do.

"Hey, vee? Can I talk to you about something, please?"

Vivian turns around and looks at me with worry and fear. "No, Viv, it's okay, you don't need to worry about it, it's nothing bad, it's just something I want to talk to you about."

Me reassuring her calms her down a lot, and it's obvious that she's calmed down as her facial expression changed from worried to happy.

"What is it, Shib?"

"I know that you have to take Jamie to nursery tomorrow, and I was hoping you would do me a massive favor and talk to marjorie for me?"

Vivians' face expression changed from happy to confused.

"I've never had the best relationship with marjorie or any of the staff members for that matter, but nobody knows that I have left Roger and am now with you, viv. and I feel like it's about time people start to know so that I can hopefully build a relationship with them. Marjorie first because I know that she will be the one who's most understanding then autumn after.. but only if things go well with marjorie."

Vivian agrees, "Okay Siobhan, hiws about I invite marjorie for drinks with us after she finishes work? I can even ask Charlotte if she will watch Jamie for a few hours while we're gone. Maybe even overnight?"

I nod in agreement. God, I'm actually going to be telling marjorie that I have left my Rich ex boyfriend and am now with Vivian. My forever person.

I know she's going to be shocked about it. I can pretty much imagine her reaction already.

*1 hour later*

An hour passes, and there's someone knocking on the door. Vivian tells me to wait upstairs in the bedroom while she prepares Jamie to meet me. It gives me time to prepare, too.

I have never had a relationship with any child to be quite honest, I'm really worried about it, I have no idea how he is going to react to me being here. He's only 5 years old, but according to Viv, he's really smart.

If he doesn't like me, I know Viv will choose her son over me anytime. She's his mum, it's her job to put him first. I admire her for that, but I really  can't stand the thought of losing my forever person. Especially when my forever person is Vivian..

After I spent some time gathering my thoughts, I heard Vivian walking up the stairs and towards the bedroom. This is it. It's time for me to finally meet her son in his home environment.

Vivians pov:

It's time for Jamie to finally meet Siobhan, she is my forever person and I want nothing more then for this to go well but if anything does go wrong, I know that I have to put my son above my forever person.

I push the bad thoughts to the back of my mind, and I take Jamie's hand so that we can head upstairs and he can meet Siobhan.

"Jamie. This is Siobhan. Remember I told you about her, and you spoke to her a few times on the phone while you were away with your daddy."

"Hello, shibby."

I take a seat on the bed next to Siobhan, I give her a gentle kiss on the cheek to let her know that everything is going to be okay.

"HI Jamie, what have you got there in your hand? Is that a new toy?"

Seeing Siobhan trying to make conversation with my little boy made my heart feel full.

"Yeah. My daddy bought it, it's marshal from paw patrol it's my favorite show, can you put it on please shibby."

I know that Siobhan hates being called shibby. I'm the only person that she will pet call her that, but to my suprise, whenever Jamie says it, she smiles. This is going so much better than I expected.

"Yes Jamie, I'll put on paw patrol for you. Come climb on to this big bed. If you want that way, you will be able to see the tell better. "

His eyes grow wide as Siobhan says that. She's making so much effort with him. Kids aren't her strong suit, but I am so proud of her for the way that she's interacting with my son.

Jamie jumps on to the bed, and to my suprise, he cuddles straight up to Siobhan. Tears start streaming down my face. I can't help but get emotional at the sight. My two favorite people are cuddled up in my bed after only knowing each other for a short amount of time.

Siobhan looks at me, I don't think she knows what to do. I give her a nod and tell her to just do whatever feels natural.

She pulls him onto her knee, and he buries his little head into her chest, still staring at the TV.

Jamie loves paw patrol, obviously me and Siobhan have no interest in it, but the only thing that matters to us is that Jamie enjoys it.

Knowing that my son gets along with my forever person really does make me happy.

I shuffle myself closer to Siobhan and Jamie, and I wrap my arms around them. We all end up failing backward into the pillows, and Jamie still lays on Siobhan.

I shuffle even closer, and I place my head on siobhans shoulder. I notice that Jamie and Siobhan have fallen asleep, so I do the same.

My heart feels full knowing that I will be able to spend the rest of my life with Siobhan because Jamie likes her. That's obvious, anyway. He's litterally asleep on her after only knowing her for just under an hour.

I don't mind, though. Their content and that's.all that will ever matter to me.
