chapter 24: sorscha and charlotte...

Third person pov:

A few weeks have passed since Siobhan first found out that she was pregnant, vivian has been by her side through it all so far. They are still really early into the pregnancy, but vivian wants to start telling people, but she doesn't want to push Siobhan out of her comfort zone.

Jamie has been staying over at his aunties a lot during the past few weeks. It makes Viv feel like a bad mum, but Siobhan makes her feel loved and reassures her that she's not a bad mum and that she's raising that little boy in the best way possible.

Vivian still feels like she Wants to tell people about the pregnancy, plus they need to really prepare themselves for marjories reaction...

"Do you think it's too soon?" Vivian asked, her voice soft but tinged with nervousness.

Siobhan turned to face her.

"We can't keep it a secret forever, love. Besides, we could always just tell sorscha and Charlotte first.. they will be able to give us advice as they have already been through this before. If anyone's going to understand, it's them."

Viv sat herself on the floor and knelt in front of Siobhan, resting her hands on top of hers. "We're in this together, remember? And they'll be so happy for us."

Siobhan smiled, her big blue eyes warming at the sight of her Viv. "I know," she whispered. "But it still feels scary, like if we say it out loud, it makes everything more real. And... what if something happens?"

Vivian gave Siobhan a warm and understanding look before leaning in and kissing Siobhan's forehead. "I've thought about that too. But no matter what, we'll handle it. And we don't have to do it alone."

Siobhan nodded nervously, taking a deep breath as she stood up. "Okay, let's tell them... we could always just invite them round later and tell them then, i guess..."

Vivian left the room to call Charlotte and sorscha. They both agreed to come, but they wanted to bring their partners. The pair had never met clodagh before, and Siobhan Stull hadn't warmed up to mia, so this could go many different ways... regardless of what happens, vivian is going to be by her girlfriends side no matter what.

After a few hours, everything was ready for the girls to come over. Jamie was still at his aunties, leaving them all alone for a couple of hours.

5pm rolled around, and there was a knock on the door. Siobhan went to answer it, and she greeted sorscha and clodagh with a smile. Sorscha was so confused as to why Siobhan wanted her, but she pushed her feelings to the side and went to sit inside with clodagh and vivian.

Siobhan stepped out of the room to get them all some wine and herself some none alcoholic wine so that nobody would suspect anything apart from vivian who had just had a knowing look.

Another hour later, mia and charlotte show up. Late, of course, but at least they actually came.

Mia: Hey, shibby." Charlotte gave mia a gentle smack on the arm as if she was silently telling her to behave and be nice to Siobhan.

"Go sit down in the living room, I'll go get you both some wine. Viv, clodagh, and sorscha are already in there."

With that said, they 2 girls made their way into the living room. Charlotte and sorscha started talking while Viv and mia got into a conversation, clodagh was just pitching into the conversation whenever she could.

Siobhan comes back with more wine for the group of friends before making her way over to the sofa and sitting next to vivian.

Vivian squeezed Siobhan's hand to let her know that she should probably tell them before everyone ends up getting drunk. Siobhan was really nervous. She has no idea how any of them are going to react.. especially mia.
