Third person pov:

A few days later, the early morning sun had just begun to filter through the curtains when Marjorie and Reece quietly let themselves into the house. They had planned a little surprise visit for the twins, knowing how much Harper and Hailey adored waking up to familiar, loving faces. The house was peaceful, still in the quiet lull of sleep, and Marjorie smiled as she exchanged a glance with Reece, both of them excited to see the kids’ reactions.

Reece headed upstairs first, his steps light as he made his way to Jamie’s room. Gently pushing open the door, he found Jamie sprawled out in his bed, his little body tangled in the blankets, still fast asleep. Reece crouched down beside the bed, carefully nudging Jamie’s shoulder. "Hey, buddy," he whispered softly, "wake up."

Jamie stirred slowly, blinking sleepily as his eyes fluttered open. When he realized it was Reece beside him, his tired face broke into a drowsy but happy smile. Without a word, Jamie reached out and wrapped his arms around Reece’s neck, clinging to him as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Reece chuckled, lifting Jamie up into his arms. "Good morning, kiddo," he whispered, ruffling Jamie’s hair. "You wanna come help me wake everyone else up?"

Jamie, still half-asleep, nodded and rested his head against Reece’s shoulder, content to be carried for a little while longer. Together, they headed down the hall, Jamie still clinging to Reece as they moved toward the twins’ room.

Meanwhile, Marjorie was already there. She peeked into the room where Harper and Hailey were still nestled in their cribs, fast asleep. The soft sound of their breathing filled the room, and for a moment, Marjorie just stood there, taking in the sight of the two girls she had come to love so dearly. But she couldn’t resist waking them up—their little reactions were always the highlight of her morning.

"Good morning, girls," Marjorie whispered as she leaned over Hailey’s crib first, gently rubbing her back.

Hailey stirred at the sound of Marjorie’s voice, her little eyes blinking open. The moment she saw Marjorie, her face lit up, and her tiny arms reached out excitedly. "Mar Mar!" she shouted in delight, her voice bright and full of energy despite having just woken up.

Not to be outdone, Harper soon followed, sitting up in her crib with wide eyes, her own voice filling the room. "Mar Mar!" she echoed, clapping her hands as she beamed at Marjorie.

Marjorie’s heart melted at the sight of the two girls, their happy babbling music to her ears. "Good morning, my sweet girls," she said, reaching into Hailey’s crib to pick her up before turning to scoop up Harper as well. With both twins in her arms, their little bodies snuggled against her, Marjorie couldn’t help but smile. "Missed you two."

Reece appeared in the doorway with Jamie still in his arms, grinning at the sight of the twins already wide awake and chattering excitedly. "Looks like Mar Mar’s the star of the morning, huh?" he teased.

Marjorie laughed, bouncing the girls gently in her arms. "I think they’re a little happy to see me."

Jamie, more awake now, wiggled out of Reece’s arms and ran over to Marjorie and the twins, his face lighting up. "Harper! Hailey! Mar Mar’s here!"

The twins squealed in delight, their little voices still calling out, "Mar Mar!" as they snuggled closer to her. It was a scene filled with warmth and love, the house now alive with the sound of the children’s joy.

With the kids awake and the morning off to such a perfect start, Marjorie and Reece knew it was going to be another beautiful day spent with the family they cherished so much. The laughter of the twins, Jamie’s excitement, and the warmth of being together made the early visit worth every moment.
