A/N spoiling you all with two chapters..
Third person pov:
Siobhan and Vivian had been looking forward to their Friday movie night all week. The past few weeks have been a lot for the two girls, especially since finding out that they were having twin girls. They already had names planned out, and the nursery is sorted, so their ready for the birth, and vivian is going to be by her side throughout it all.
"Alright, babe," Vivian said, scrolling through the movie options. "What are we watching tonight?"
Siobhan peeked over Vivian's shoulder, her nose scrunching slightly. "Anything but a horror movie," she muttered.
Vivian grinned, already sensing an opportunity to tease. "Oh, come on! I thought we agreed to try something new tonight. Plus, it'll be fun! I'll be right here." She pulled Siobhan closer, kissing her on the temple.
Siobhan sighed dramatically, but her lips curved into a reluctant smile. "Fine. But if I get nightmares, you're responsible."
"Deal!" Vivian said, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she selected The Haunting at Hollow Creek.
The movie began innocently enough quiet scenes of a picturesque, remote house surrounded by misty woods. But soon, the eerie atmosphere grew, and the shadows in the film lengthening as strange things started to happen. A floorboard creaked in the background, then the screen cut to black with a sudden, heart-pounding thud.
Siobhan flinched, pulling the blanket tighter around herself. "Why do they always have to do that?" she mumbled under her breath.
Vivian chuckled softly but didn’t take her eyes off the screen. She was clearly enjoying every tense moment. Siobhan, on the other hand, could feel her heartbeat picking up with each flicker of light and ominous sound effects. The creaks of the haunted house echoed in the living room, and Siobhan couldn’t help but glance toward their own kitchen, half-expecting to see something lurking in the shadows
Halfway through the movie, a particularly terrifying scene hit. The ghost pale, with empty black eyes
Appeared out of nowhere, its mouth opening in a silent scream as it reached for the protagonist. Siobhan yelped, her hand flying to cover her face.“Viv, that’s it, I can’t!” Siobhan squeaked, burying her face in Vivian’s shoulder.
Vivian stifled a laugh and paused the movie. "Hey, hey, it's just a movie!" She wrapped an arm around Siobhan, stroking her hair soothingly. "Do you want me to turn it off?"
Siobhan peeked up at her, still half-hiding behind the blanket. "Yes, please," she whispered, though her voice held a hint of playfulness.
Vivian reached for the remote, but not before teasing, "I thought you said I was responsible for any nightmares?"
"Yeah, and you're doing a terrible job protecting me from them!" Siobhan said with mock indignation.
They both burst into laughter, the tension melting away in an instant. Vivian turned off the TV and pulled Siobhan into her lap, holding her tightly. “I’m sorry, babe. I didn’t think it’d freak you out that much.”
Siobhan looked up at her fiancée, her eyes sparkling with affection. “It’s okay. I’ll forgive you, but only because you’re so cute when you’re sorry.”
Vivian grinned, her arms still wrapped protectively around Siobhan. "How about a rom-com to make up for it?"
"Perfect," Siobhan said, snuggling closer. "Something with absolutely zero ghosts."
Vivian nodded and started a light-hearted comedy, the mood in the room instantly lifting. As they watched, Siobhan occasionally glanced at Vivian’s face, noting how much she enjoyed the lighter moments. The warmth between them was undeniable, a protective bubble that no scary movie could ever pop.
By the time the credits rolled, Siobhan had forgotten all about the ghostly figure from earlier. She leaned into Vivian with a contented sigh. “Next time, I’m picking the movie.”
“Deal,” Vivian agreed, pressing a soft kiss to Siobhan’s forehead. "As long as you're sitting right here next to me."
Siobhan smiled, her earlier fear now a distant memory. "Always."
