Third person pov:
Vivian stood in front of the mirror, tilting her head to the side as she tried to imagine herself in the wedding suit. A smile played on her lips. In just a few months, she and Siobhan would be saying their vows. It was still surreal to her, the thought of forever with the woman she adored, and now, today, it was her turn to pick out her wedding suit.
Winter and Reece, her best friends, flanked her as they entered the boutique. The shop was a blend of elegance and warmth, with racks of neatly pressed suits and dresses lining the walls.
“I can’t believe you’re getting married!” Winter said, throwing an arm around Vivian. “It feels like just yesterday you were still planning that first date.”
Vivian chuckled, shrugging Winter off with a grin. “It’s wild, isn’t it? Siobhan’s going to be gorgeous in her dress, so I need something that complements her.”
“I’ve got faith in you,” Reece chimed in, already browsing through the racks. “You’ve always had great style.”
Vivian smiled, her eyes scanning the suits until a particular one caught her eye—a dark green suit with subtle black accents. The color was rich, deep, and elegant, just the kind of suit that would stand out without overshadowing Siobhan.
“What about this one?” Vivian asked, pulling it off the rack.
Winter and Reece turned around simultaneously. Winter's eyes widened. “Ooh, I love the green. It’s bold.”
“And it’s you,” Reece added with a nod of approval. “Classic with just the right amount of personality.”
Vivian beamed and went to try it on. The suit fit perfectly, the tailored cut hugging her form in all the right places. She smoothed her hands down the jacket, admiring the way the green fabric caught the light, the black lapels adding a sharp edge.
Stepping out of the dressing room, she gave a little spin. “What do you think?”
Winter’s jaw dropped. “Viv, you look incredible!”
“Yeah,” Reece agreed. “You’re going to blow everyone away. Especially Siobhan.”
Vivian smiled at her reflection. The suit felt like her. Not just something to wear for the wedding, but a symbol of the new chapter she was starting with Siobhan. She could already picture the look in Siobhan's eyes when she saw her in it on the big day.
“This is the one,” Vivian said, her voice steady. “I can feel it.”
Winter and Reece exchanged grins. “Then it’s settled,” Winter said, walking over to give Vivian a hug. “We’ve got your wedding suit.”
As they left the boutique, Vivian felt the excitement bubbling up inside her. Soon, all the details would come together. The venue, the flowers, Siobhan’s dress—and now, her suit.
But most importantly, in just a few months, she would be standing across from the woman she loved, ready to start forever. And in that moment, the dark green and black suit wouldn’t just be clothes. It would be a symbol of everything she had with Siobhan—strong, deep, and timeless.
