CHAPTER 24: Teasing

AIAH'S POV

After the party, we decided to spend the night at my parents' rest house.

I'm here with Stacey, Sheena, and Maloi.

It's 10 in the morning, and we're all just lying on my bed, watching movies.

Stacey and Sheena are cuddled up beside me, engrossed in a Barbie movie, while Maloi is busy typing on her phone, smiling from ear to ear.

Napansin ata n’ya na nakatingin ako sa kaniya, and she looked at me awkwardly.

"Punta raw sila Colet dito." she said before turning her attention back to her phone.

Sabay naman napabalikwas sina Stacey at Sheena, immediately moving closer to Maloi, both of them peering over her shoulder to look at her phone.

"Hindi naman obvious na gusto n'yo sila makita 'no?" I asked them in disbelief, shaking my head.

"Of course, I miss my girlfriend. Ewan ko rito sa dalawa, baka na-fall na don kay Jho and Ate  Colet." Sheena retorted, throwing a glance at Stacey and Maloi, who just rolled their eyes at her.

"Mandidiri ka naman, Shee." Stacey fired back, leaning against the headboard at inirapan si Sheena who just stuck her tongue to Stacey.

"Crush ko si Colet. Hindi naman ako in denial, hindi katulad nong dalawa sa tabi-tabi." Maloi said, looking pointedly at Stacey and then at me.

"Yuck kung si Jho, huwag na lang and besides huwag n'yo ako igaya sa inyo! mga bading!"

"Wow Staku parang hindi ka nangamatis nong kasayaw mo si Jho ah? Tiklop ka nga pag seryoso ‘yong mangga na ‘yon eh!" Bara rito ni Sheena at inirapan lang s'ya.

"Oh ikaw Ate Aiah?" Maloi added at tinignan ako ng masama.

"Bakit nadamay ako?" I asked her.

"Hindi halata namiss mo si Mikha, promise." Pang aasar ni Sheena but her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Oo nga, hindi namin nakikita na parati kang nasa account ni Mikha." Dagdag ni Stacey and just grinned at me.

Tamo tong si Staks masyadong paplaysafe kaya nakisali na rin sa pang aasar.

"At hindi rin namin nakikita na typing ka tas dedelete mo rin chat mo sa kaniya." The girl with bayonetta glass added.

I felt my face heat up at sa pang aasar nilang tatlo at nag iisip ng pwedeng dahilan pero wala akong maisip.

"Hoy, hindi ah!" I protested, but even I could hear how weak it sounded.

The three of them just burst out laughing and clearly enjoying how flustered I was.

"Talaga ha? Oh bakit namumula?" Pang aasar pa ni Sheena.

Kunyare hindi ako naniniwala sa sinabi n'ya kaya I open my cellphone's camera para makitang pulang pala talaga ako.

Speaking of...

Mysterious Red.

Hindi ko maiwasang isipin yung interaction namin kagabi.

The way she talked to me, how she made me feel comfortable kahit hindi ko siya kilala, and how she somehow felt... familiar. I don't know why, pero there was something about her na hindi ko maalis sa isip ko.

The way she smiled under that mask, the sound of her voice, and the way she carried herself—confident but with a hint of something more, something deeper.
