MIKHA'S POV

I've been knocking on Aiah's unit for a while now, I've been here for almost five minutes to fetch her.

Kasi we're usually sabay pumasok to work, and madalas when I exit my unit, she's also exiting her unit too, kaya we're just headed straight to the parking lot of this building.

And I'm starting to overthink kasi there's no response from her.

I keep knocking and knocking.

"SANDALI!" I heard her shout from the inside, so I stopped knocking and just waited for her to get out when I saw the doorknob twist.

"Hey, I've been wai-"

My words got stuck in my mouth when Aiah opened her door, and she was only in a towel.

"I'm sorry, Miks, nagising pa lang ako. Pasok ka muna, bibilisan ko lang pag bihis ko, promise!" she said apologetically as she opened the door.

My throat got dry, and I was left speechless by what I saw, so I just nodded my head and entered as she rushed back to her room.

Fuck.

That girl really knows how to catch me off guard, intentionally or unintentionally.

I mean, who wouldn't be speechless if Maraiah Queen Arceta just opened her unit door, with her body covered only by a towel and water dripping from her messy hair?

Fuck.

I didn't mean to fantasize about her or anything, but she's freaking hot-hot as in smoking hot.

Napahawak ako sa cheeks ko and felt how warm it was, and I'm a hundred percent sure that I'm flushed like a tomato.

"What the heck, Miks? Get yourself together." I whispered to myself.

I shook my head to shrug off the images of Aiah earlier from my mind.

I got startled when Aiah suddenly tapped my shoulder.

"Hoy, lalim ng iniisip mo ah? Tara na."

I looked up at her, and she was finally dressed, but the images from earlier-fuck, Lim, get your shit together.

I just stood up and followed her as she did her thing at the door before we rode in the elevator and headed to the parking lot.

"I'm sorry talaga, I overslept when you were knocking, napasok pa lang ako sa CR." she explained when we got into my car.

I already have access to my family's belongings dahil I'm not hiding anymore.

The first time I showed up at my parents' house, they handed me some cards and also some keys to different vehicles.

But.

Hindi nila binigay 'yon without lecturing me or, should I say, listening to their nonstop nagging about my behavior and how I should act dahil I'm already handling our business.

It's hard, lalo na when I started reading documents and signing papers, but slowly I'm starting to get used to it.

There are times talaga na sobrang sumasakit ang ulo ko, but thinking about those people who depend on our company motivates me.

I opened the door to the passenger seat for Aiah before going around to the driver's seat.

"It's okay, bakit ka na overslept pala?" I asked her as I started the engine.

"I updated some of my books pa gabi, busy na rin kasi sa company these past few days kaya hindi ako nakakapag-update." she answered.

I noticed she's having a hard time putting on her seatbelt.
