NO ONE'S POV

"Ah-mm, Woman, are you mad?" Mikha asked cautiously, scratching the back of her head as they stood in front of their unit.

She looked genuinely puzzled, kanina pa siya nagtataka sa behavior ni Aiah.

The entire ride had been unusually quiet, with Aiah just staring out the window, her face set in a slight frown.

Aiah didn't respond right away, just crossed her arms and avoided looking directly at Mikha.

"Mad? Bakit naman?" she said, her tone laced with sarcasm as she finally turned her head to give Mikha a quick, unimpressed glance.

Mikha blinked, even more confused.

"Kasi... parang hindi ka naman ganito usually? You're all... quiet and stuff."

"Wow, observant ka pala." Aiah muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes as she fished for her keys.

"Ehhhhh?" Mikha mumbled to herself, scratching her head, thoroughly baffled.

Aiah sighed dramatically, letting out a small huff before finally facing her.

"Nevermind."

Mikha just blinked, even more lost.

"Uh... okay?"

As Aiah unlocked the door and walked in, Mikha followed, her head still spinning with confusion, completely clueless to the very obvious irritation radiating from Aiah.

I didn't do anything wrong naman eh.

Mikha thought to herself while pouting.

Pagpasok nila sa unit, tahimik lang si Aiah, dumiretso agad sa kwarto n'ya na hindi man lang s'ya tinignan.

Si Mikha naman, naiwan na nakatayo lang sa may pinto, scratching her head, half-thinking it might be best to give Aiah some space.

But just as she was about to leave, Aiah's voice broke the silence.

"Come back here after you're done maligo." she said, her tone flat as she stared intently at something on the wall, naisip n'yang hindi pa pala sila kumakain and knowing Mikha that sucks at cooking, she's sure na mag order lang ito ng fastfood so she decided to cook instead.

"I'll cook."

Mikha blinked, caught off guard.

"Noted, Woman." she replied, holding back a smile as she walked back to her own unit.

Whatever was going on with Aiah, the thought of her cooking somehow lightened things up a bit.

Maybe this weird quiet spell would blow over after they ate together.

Pagkatapos maglinis ng katawan at magpalit ng fresh na damit, bumalik si Mikha sa unit ni Aiah.

She knocked softly before entering, and the smell of freshly cooked adobo filled the air.

Aiah was already setting the table, her face carefully neutral, but she didn't look up as Mikha entered.

Mikha took a seat, still feeling a little hesitant, and watched as Aiah moved around the kitchen, her every movement precise and a bit stiff.

"Thanks for cooking." Mikha said softly, glancing at the food.

"It looks delicious."

Aiah finally looked up, meeting her eyes for just a second before quickly looking away again.
