MIKHA'S POV
"HELL NO! YOU'RE NOT GOING TO STICK WITH ME!" I shouted.
Damn it.
This lady has been on my nerves since last week.
I don't know how it happened, but I hate my parents for this.
They really can't trust me and just let me be.
Akala ko okay na kasi pumayag sila sa gusto ko, but if I only knew may kapalit pala, edi sana hindi na ako nakipag-usap sa kanila ng matino.
After introducing me to our trusted men, my father suddenly introduced this girl to me.
"She's your personal bodyguard, Mikha. She'll be with you 24/7." he said, all serious.
I couldn't believe it.
Kasama ko na siya parati.
Now, to make matters worse, she's joining us sa bahay kasama sina Jhoanna, Ate Colet, at Gwen.
I wanted to scream, but what could I do?
My parents made the decision, and I just have to live with it.
Every time I see her around, it's a constant reminder that my parents really don't trust me.
I hate it.
I hate that they think I can't handle things on my own.
But more than anything, I hate that deep down, I feel disappointed.
I thought they believed in me. I thought they trusted me dahil sa pag payag nila sa gusto kong maganap.
Instead, here I am, stuck with a bodyguard I didn't ask for, furious but helpless, and just trying to deal with this new reality.
What irritated me even more was realizing that Ashley was the same person who had the audacity to take off my mask during Lola's birthday celebration.
"Enough, Mikha." Gwen said with a warning tone.
"She's also enrolled sa University, kaya wala kang magagawa, stop being mean to my cousin."
I groaned inwardly at pinipigilan ang sarili na iripan s'ya.
Isa pa sa reason kung bakit ako naiirita dahil pinsan s'ya ni Gwen, means hindi ako pwede mag parareklamo pag kasama namin s'ya.
We were all in the living room, preparing for school.
Jhoanna was fussing over her outfit, Ate Colet was cleaning some stuff na nag kakalat gawa ni Jhoanna and Gwen was scrolling through her phone like always.
Then, like clockwork, Ashley Del Mundo-my personal bodyguard-showed up.
She was already dressed for school.
Ang feeling talaga.
"Good morning." she greeted everyone with a bright smile.
It was almost annoying how cheerful she could be, especially when I was clearly irritated by her presence.
And the fact na she's a little arrogant at medyo cold nong birthday ni Lola tapos bigla bigla s'ya magiging bubbly.
I crossed my arms and leaned back on the couch, trying to ignore her.
But it was hard to ignore someone who's been glued to your side for days.
Curse my parents for this.
"Seriously, Mikha." Gwen continued at inangat ang tingin sa'kin.
"Ashley's just doing her job. Plus, she's my cousin. It wouldn't hurt you to be a little nicer."
