NO ONE'S POV
Aiah sat quietly on the rooftop of Binivelle University, the place where it all began.
Her feet swayed gently as she looked out at the view sa harapan n'ya at masyadong malalim ang iniisip.
It had been a week since Mikha was discharged from the hospital, and just as long since she had received any word from her.
Mikha hadn't reached out to her, hadn't given any sign at all-not even a text or a call.
She knew from her sister that things were patched up between Mikha, Jhoanna, Gwen, and Colet right after that day with Jhoanna.
Somehow, she had hoped Mikha would come to her after making peace with the others, but as days passed, Aiah began to wonder if maybe Mikha was avoiding her on purpose.
That's why when she got a text from Mikha last night, asking her to meet on the rooftop, a flood of emotions hit her.
She was excited-of course na sobrang aga n'ya dumating dito but shet nervous too.
The fact that Mikha hadn't contacted her at all until now made her worry about what this conversation would bring.
So, she braced herself, trying to prepare for whatever might come out of today's talk.
She heard the soft sound of footsteps approaching.
Aiah's heart raced, and she turned to see Mikha stepping onto the rooftop.
Nong mag tama ang mga mata nila, a rush of emotions flooded through Aiah-relief, joy, and a tinge of anxiety all mixed together.
May napansin naman siyang hawak ni Mikha na libro sa kanang kamay nito.
She's wearing a black oversized hoodie with her specs-her usual look bago siya ma aksidente.
No one spoke.
They didn't greet each other.
Umupo lang si Mikha sa tabi ni Aiah at nag simulang mag basa.
Kahit nagtataka ay hinayaan na lang s'ya ni Aiah and suits herself from watching her former lover enjoying her book.
Kahit walang salitang namutawi sa kanila, it felt like they were transported back to the good old days.
Aiah, sitting beside Mikha, watched her as she dove into her book, despite the silence, Aiah felt Mikha's presence brought comfort.
Aiah couldn't help but admire the way Mikha's eyebrows furrowed in concentration or how she would sometimes bite her lip when she came across a particularly intriguing line.
The sight was familiar and comforting, reminding kung saan sila nag simula.
She lost track of time as Mikha turned page after page, with each flick of the paper.
There's something special about being next to someone who matters to you, even if you don't need to speak.
MIKHA'S POV
I'm fucking nervous.
I don't know how to fucking finish this plan of mine, I should have followed what my friends advised me to do, but their plans are all ridiculous.
Sumasakit lang ang head ko when I remember their stupid suggestions.
We were all eating quietly after the deep talks and apologies kanina, and I was looking for a tiempo to inform them of my decision.
I blinked my eyes before gathering my courage.
"I'm planning to propose to Aiah." I blurted out, and I swear, the way they reacted was dumbfounding.
