There were countless people in the large room where they collect important data. However, the middle-aged man could feel the coldness of this person's gaze, which sent a shiver down his spine. When he turned his head, his eyes landed on a woman leaning her back against the wall.

The woman had her arms folded, watching them as if she had been there from the beginning. Yet, no one seemed to have noticed her. Her dark red lips curled up into a smirk the moment their eyes met, wearing black clothes underneath her black and long coat.

The man had been the chief of this building and organization for over two decades. Thus, even if there were several hundred resident workers in the building, he knew when someone was bad news.

This woman was bad news.

"That took you some time, chief," the woman, Jane, broke her silence.

As soon as her seductive voice left her lips, everyone's heads turned in her direction. Surprise instantly appeared on everyone's faces. The woman was undoubtedly a beauty. With such sophisticated beauty, one wouldn't forget her face. That was why... they instantly knew this woman was an intruder.

But how?

How did she get into this room when there was only one entrance and exit?

No, not just that! This room was highly secured that only the people with a pass could enter. It was the place where the most important information was held, after all. Even the people who had passed would go through multiple checks going in and out.

In other words, for them, if there was an intruder, the last place they could reach was this room. If this woman was truly an intruder, then the danger and urgency of the situation just rose to the highest level.

"Haha! What's with the look on your faces?" Jane chuckled in amusement and with a snap of a finger, countless guns were pointing in her direction.

"Who are you!?" the chief's voice rumbled down his chest, not blinking.

"I'm... no one." She maintained her alluring smile, unfazed by the weapons aimed at her. "My... what a scary situation. Please put down your guns or someone will die."

The chief and everyone's hearts thudded at her last remarks. "Hah! Someone will die? And who do you think that'll be?"

"Me, obviously." Jane laughed while the chief's face darkened.

"Are you messing with me?"

"No, I'm serious. If you keep those aimed at me, someone might accidentally pull the trigger and kill me!" Jane sighed, peeling her back from the wall as she unfolded her arms. She raised both her hands to the side as a gesture of surrender. "So please, don't kill me because if you do, you'll anger the craziest people you wouldn't wish to meet in this lifetime."

The chief kept his eyes on her without lowering his guard. His people didn't listen to her pleading as well, keeping their guns aimed in her direction. It would be foolish for them to trust anything she said, given she had infiltrated the headquarters without a hitch.

"I'm unarmed," she added before the corner of her lips curled up.

RING! RING!

The sound of the phone ringing echoed louder with the pin-drop silence in the room. Everyone glanced at where the sound was coming from, only for them to end up staring at the chief. The chief carefully felt his phone inside his suit, answering it without looking away from the intruder.

"Chief!" came from the other end of the line was a frantic voice of a man. "The president — someone ambushed the president! Don't hurt that woman! No, don't lay a single finger on her until we confirm the president's safety!"

The chief's pupils dilated even more as he witnessed how her red lips curled up into a smirk.

"You..." the chief cut off the call as he already got a grasp of the situation. "Put down all your weapons."

Everyone looked at the chief, shocked. They didn't believe their ears the first time until the chief repeated.

"Put down your weapons!" yelled the chief, making others flinch in surprise. Still, they listened despite their confusion.

"Much better!" Jane clapped in satisfaction. "Now, I feel more comfortable. You know how dangerous it was if someone pointed a gun at you, right?"

Jane chuckled as if she wasn't in the most dangerous place for a felon like her. She leisurely pranced her way to the front, unfazed by the countless eyes watching her every movement.

"You see, I'm not as fearless as you think I am. My heart still trembles when someone points a gun at me. Bullets don't recognize mercy, after all," she expressed on her way to the front. "Considering I don't have protective gear or anyone with me, I am scared to death!"

Jane stood in front of the room, smiling. There was not a shred of fear in her eyes; her expression contradicted all the things she spewed.

Not as fearless as they think she was? Hah! If she was afraid at this moment, then they couldn't imagine how she would look if she was when she was not afraid at all.

"What do you want?" the chief didn't go around in circles nor did he indulge with her nonsense. "You ambushed the president and infiltrated our headquarters. Surely, there must be something you want."

He shook his head while his eyes were still fixed on him. "I'm telling you, you will not get what you want."

"Chief, aren't you a little... narrow-minded?" Jane frowned as she trudged to the first row. "May I sit here?"

The person on the first monitor was standing. He held his breath, as she was much more beautiful up close, but that didn't take away the dread in his heart. He took a step back, not answering.

"Well, thanks." Jane perched on the edge of the table, folding her arms, and her head turned to the side where the chief was standing. "Chief, I didn't come here to steal. I already have all the information you have, after all."

"What?" Panic swelled in the chief's heart before telling himself it was probably a bluff.

"But I have information you don't," Jane smirked. "I'll give you all the names, information, and even the faces of those you've been chasing around blindly, including myself. In exchange for allthis information, I want you to kill people for me."
