"Sorry, I'll be running late. Something came up, so I couldn't make it in time." Lea bit her bottom lip as she apologize to the other person on the line. "Yes, I know. Don't be angry — I'll be there! No, it's okay. I'm on my way now."

"Lea." Jennie sighed. "Be here immediately. I still have other appointments today. Gosh. Didn't you say you were going to make it up to me? Is this how you show your sincerity?"

"I know it's my fault, Jennie! But I didn't want to be late as well. Just wait for me, okay? I'll be there in ten minutes! No, five!"

"Fine." Jennie rolled her eyes. "If you're here in ten minutes, I'll leave."

"Yes. Don't worry. I will not be late!" Lea and Jennie talked about time for another minute before the line ended.

As soon as the call ended, Lea scoffed at her phone. She sneered before lifting her eyes, setting them on the people in an establishment not far away. From inside the van, she could see Jennie and Hanbin sitting opposite each other, chatting.

Of course, she wouldn't be late.

Lea had been here at the same time Hanbin approached Jennie. She didn't plan for them to meet just on their own. Her original plan was for the three of them to get together. It changed because Hanbin arrived earlier than they agreed.

'It turned out much better than I thought.' The corner of her lips curled into a smirk, keeping her eyes fixed on Jennie and Hanbin. The two sat by the corner where everyone could see through the transparent glass.

"That dumb bitch. Did she think sitting where she can display herself would garner attention? But well, her stupidity still makes it easier for me." Lea lifted her chin as she sat back comfortably.

"Did you take good pictures of them?" she asked the person in the front passenger seat.

"Ah, yes." The lady in the front seat handed her the phone, which Lea took immediately.

As Lea leaned back, she checked the photos her manager took. Her smirk stretched broader in satisfaction.

"This is good." Lea nodded, pleased at how smooth her plan turned out. She swiped at the rest of the photos, making her mood even better.

Just looking at the photos, the two looked like they were on a date. Even though Jennie and Hanbin weren't intimate, just being together in a single photo was enough to spark rumors. And that was the goal, to create a rumor between Jennie and Hanbin.

Both of them could deny it to stop the rumors, but the public was not Lea's target. It was Lisa and the entire Manoban Family. A rumor like this was enough to ruin a marriage. Considering Jennie and Lisa's relationship was "fragile," this was enough to get Jennie kicked out of that house.

"I'm surprised she didn't throw herself at him the second they lock eyes with each other. Hanbin had been her crush, after all. Moreover, she couldn't stop smiling whenever she gets a message from him in the past," Lea commented. "But well, considering she was depressed for the past five years, it will take time."

Lea had an idea.

'If I create more opportunities like this, then it wouldn't take long for them to fall for each other.' A giggle escaped her smirk, covering it with the back of her hand. "Hanbin still likes her, and I'm certain she still likes him."

After all, there were times Jennie would ask her about Hanbin in the past. Although those times were around five years ago and then gradually stopped, Lea wanted to believe Jennie was still into him.

"He can have Hanbin." Lea put down the phone as she turned her head in the mirror, smirking. 'Compare to Mr. Manoban, Hanbin is nothing. Mr. Manoban is the better steal.'

"Turn around and make it look like I just arrived," she ordered, without taking her eyes off the two people in the cafe.

With that being said, the van she was in moved away as ordered.

Surely, Lea wanted everything Jennie had. Jennie wasn't the only one who had a crush on Hanbin back then. Lea as well. However, Jennie didn't just rise to fame quickly, she was able to be close to the nation's favorite, Kim Hanbin.

Meanwhile, Lea was just a small-time actress. If not for Lisa's help, Lea had to admit she didn't know if she would ever have a break to showcase her talent.

Life for Jennie had always been great. From having a loving dad to being an overachiever and popular in school and then in career and love. Lea's life was always the opposite. She always struggled while Jennie didn't.

'You... are not better than me, Jennie. Never again.'

"Is everything all right?" Hanbin asked as soon as Jennie ended the phone call. "Are you and Ms. Jung fighting?"

"Ah?" Jennie snapped her eyes back to the man across from her. "No. It's just normal bickering between friends. We had an argument last time. That's why she's trying to make it up to me."

"I see."

"Don't worry. We've been friends prior to entering the industry," Jennie explained, snapping her eyes outside. She caught a familiar van from the distance. Her gaze followed the van until it left her sight, and then a few minutes later, the same van returned.

This time, instead of parking on the side of the road, it stopped in front of the establishment. When Lea came out of the van with a cap and huge glasses on, Jennie mentally hissed.

'So, she's been here since earlier, huh?' Jennie smiled brightly at Hanbin as she said, "She's here."

"Oh?" Hanbin looked back, not knowing Jennie immediately pulled her phone out, taking a video of Lea's entrance. "You're right — that was quick. She's probably in a rush so you won't get angry..."

Hanbin trailed off when he faced Jennie again, only to see her holding her phone as if taking a video.

"There is the latecomer~!" Jennie happily greeted Lea, taking a video of the latter approaching. "Gosh. You're late, Lea. Senior Kim is here. You didn't tell us you'd meet us both at the same time. I and Senior Kim were very surprised!"

Lea paused, furrowing her brows as her eyes fell on Jennie's phone. "I'm sorry for being late — Jennie, are you taking a video?" she tried to reach for Jennie's phone, but the latter swiftly moved it away.

"I'm just recording evidence!" Jennie playfully remarked, ending the video, as if that was enough. "So, the next time, you can't deny that you're making your dearest best friend wait."

Hanbin chuckled, treating Jennie's action as silly and innocent. Lea also laughed, but there was a tinge of nervousness in them.

'Heh.' Jennie maintained a playful smile, but inside, she was sneering. 'Do you think I'm dumb to fall for such petty tricks? Fat chance! If I survived death itself, what made her think I won't see through her ploy?'

As Lea took a sit, Jennie quickly sent her husband a message.
