Lisa let out a short chuckle as soon as his wife faced him. He pressed a random button again, letting the door close as he marched to her. However, Jennie immediately glided back on instinct until her back felt the wall.

Lisa planted his hand on the wall beside her. "I don't remember screaming like Lucas," he said, tilting his head to the side.

"And when I'm inside you, all I can think of is going deep and making you scream loud enough so our neighbors know my name," he continued, unable to take away the smile on his face. "Is there anything else you're worried about?"

Jennie opened and closed her mouth, forcing her voice out of her throat. "What — what are you doing here?"

"Because my wife doesn't want to come home because of her ruined makeup." He shrugged. "I can't let her go on her own, but I didn't expect she had another reason. I'm flattered."

"Gosh — you." Jennie raised a hand over her forehead, blocking his view as she looked away. "Don't look."

Lisa held the hand that was blocking his view, holding it to the side. "Jennie, it's just makeup. Lucas is just being overdramatic. It's not bad."

"Oy. That's a little insulting, too." Jennie instinctively slapped his chest with the back of her hand. "Are you saying I look the same with or without this makeup?"

"That's not what I'm saying." Lisa chuckled, bending over and tilting his head to place a kiss on her lips. "I'm saying it's still you, with or without that mask."

He drew his head back, smiling warmly. "I didn't like you because of your face."

"You..." Jennie blinked before her eyes sparkled. "You like me?"

"I wouldn't kiss you if I don't." Lisa cocked his head to the side, only to realize their marriage didn't start just like others.

There was no love between them, but because they had a child, they got married. Five years of nothing, and then now, everything just felt normal.

In other words, this was the first time he ever said he liked her and he didn't even realize that.

"Do you still like me now?" Jennie fluttered her eyelashes, smiling coquettishly. "Even if I look like an evil spirit?"

If Lucas was here, he would be protesting and making statements to shoot down her confidence. Fortunately, he wasn't present and wasn't seeing the situation.

"Ah... yes," Lisa recomposed himself, planning on making it up to her for not saying she liked the way she was now.

"Even with this makeup?"

"Even if you add ten more layers."

"Really?"

Lisa nodded. "Hundred percent."

Jennie pressed her lips to stop herself from grinning, covering her lips with both her hands. Her eyes twinkled and moved at her husband's gesture. But what made her even happier was the fact this was progress. In no time, this man would be wrapped around her hands and she could make him pamper her rotten!

Finally! Her future as a luxurious wife was brighter than ever!

"You're not bothered?" she asked once again for reassurance.

Lisa planted a kiss on her lips once more and smiled. "Never."

"Aww..." Jennie snaked her arms around his neck, pouting. "That brother-in-law of mine really scared me. I wouldn't feel embarrassed if he didn't shoot down my confidence."

"I'll scold him later."

"Oh, no. He might make my life harder if you do."

"He won't even think of that." Lisa shook his head. "He's been nagging me about this car. Lucas is smart and he wouldn't want to rub me the wrong way."

"A car?" Her brows rose as an idea crossed her mind. "Darling, don't scold Lucas anymore."

Jennie drew circles on his chest like a little temptress. "I think he's still angry at me because of what I was before. So, I don't want to put more wedge between us."

"How about you give me the car?" she blinked innocently. "I think if I have the car, I can use that as a way we can bond. Also, he will stop nagging you. Win-win. Gosh. How can he nag my husband, knowing how busy he was?"

Lisa pondered about it for a moment before he nodded. "Sure."

"Really?!"

"Mhm. I already ordered it when he mentioned it, but I just didn't tell him." Lisa smiled as if the car they were talking about was just like any other car. "You can have it if you liked it. He's been misbehaving, anyway."

Jennie bit her bottom lip as she looked at her dazzling husband. To be honest, she never wanted to see Lisa as a walking ATM, but she couldn't help it! This man was a walking bank!

"Baby~" Jennie stood on her toes, almost forgetting the devastating makeup on her face. She tilted her head, planting a kiss on his lips. However, before she could draw back, Lisa lowered his head to continue it.

"Mhm..." she moaned in protest, feeling his arms circle around her waist. "Lisa — wait."

"No one will come," he whispered into her mouth. 'Even if they did, they can just wait for the other lift.'

Jennie just let him nibble on her lips passionately, wrapping her arms around his neck. The two made out in the elevator, with Lisa kissing his way down to her neck.

DING!

Jennie's lips parted, peeking over his shoulder when the elevator suddenly opened. She flinched when she caught a figure standing outside the elevator, tapping Lisa's shoulder to stop him.

"Someone is there," she whispered, making Lisa frown. The latter glanced over his shoulder, making sure his body was blocking his wife.

It was a man whom Lisa didn't bother to recognize.

"Oops. Sorry." The man outside the lift raised both his hands at shoulder level. "I didn't mean to disturb you. Please go on. I'll just use the other one."

"Tsk." Lisa reached for the button, pressing the floor of the penthouse.

Jennie peeked her head over Lisa's shoulder. Before the door closed, Jennie narrowed her eyes as she caught the man's devious sneer.
