"What's taking her so long?" Jennie glanced at her phone with a bored look plastered on her face. "Is this revenge for that last time I made her wait?"
Jennie looked outside through the transparent wall of the café where she told Lea to meet. This was the nearest café to the learning school. Considering this location was a place where one could see elites and even celebrities walking around, there shouldn't be a problem for Jung Lea to meet her.
"I'm getting bored," she murmured as another minute passed, picking up the cup of tea she ordered. "If she doesn't come, I'd just go ahead to my husband's office."
The LYON Group headquarters was just a thirty-minute ride. She would be able to pick up Jevin in time. Jennie already decided, but still wanted to give a ten-minute grace period for her dearest friend. After all, she needed Lea's wisdom on something.
While waiting, Jennie busied herself with her phone. She once again checked her social media account. Her notification was still bombarded with comments and fan messages, but it wasn't as aggressive as the day before.
"Should I post more?" she wondered, glancing at the table. "Let's see."
Jennie opened the camera to see what the table looked like, making her smile slightly. The table was simple, with only a teacup and a centerpiece. However, it still looked surprisingly aesthetic with the faint sunlight shining on it. Jennie clicked one quick photo of the table and the empty seat opposite her.
[Waiting...]
Jennie simply put a nonsense caption with a sighing emote. She didn't think much about it when she tapped publish.
"Man, how nice would it be for Lisa to sit there?" she murmured, thinking Lisa would be a perfect model to sit on that chair across from her. With the ambiance of the photo, she could imagine how glorious he would look with his suit on.
"But then again, he is so handsome people might want to steal him." She frowned. "He should stay away from social media."
Jennie was aware Lisa was a private person. He liked keeping his private life as private as he could and thus, posting him on her page with millions of followers might trouble him. This was the very reason she didn't post their first family photo.
She didn't want Lisa to get angry. Although she was certain she could coax him if she seduced him, she also prefers this sort of life. Being a public figure and posting things on the internet was giving other people the opportunity to comment on their lives.
She didn't like that.
'I don't know much about it, but from Jennie's memory, internet peeps usually step out of line.' She shrugged, raising her brows as her notification started to get flooded by fans.
"Even a post like this?" her face twitched, reading ridiculous comments and even proper ones.
[Wait for me, Jennie. I'm on the way.]
[Who are you waiting for?]
[Is this the High District? Wow... you live there?]
[Are you waiting for a man? Who is the lucky guy? OMO! Please, please, tell me it's Hanbin!]
[Are you crazy? It's been a while since Jennie and Hanbin's ship sank. Don't start an issue.]
Jennie's face kept twitching as she watched a fight in the comment section unfold. It was ridiculous how people immediately jumped on whom she was waiting for, but somehow, it was entertaining in a way. She was bored and watching people fight over something so petty was a spectacle.
"Hanbin... who was this person again?" Jennie looked up, reviewing the original Jennie's memory.
It didn't take long for her to remember the person.
Kim Hanbin.
He was the leading man in the film where she won the best actress award five years ago. Jennie's acting skills brought her to fame, but her chemistry with the said actor warranted fans from shipping the two actors.
Who would have thought that even five years later, there were still people out there who were hoping for them to be real-life lovers?
"People are crazy for sure," she murmured, shaking her head, only to pause. "But then again, Jennie had a thing with him in the past."
To be exact, this Hanbin guy was Jennie's long-time crush even before she got into the industry. Throughout filming the movie, Jennie and this person seemed to have made a connection. However, the connection was abruptly cut for the obvious reasons.
'He could've been Jennie's first boyfriend if she didn't get pregnant.' Jennie felt goosebumps all over, thinking what could've Lisa's reaction if he knew about the thought that crossed her mind. 'Well, that was in the past. I don't think it matters now. It's just these delusional fans are ridiculous.'
"Lisa is much better in every aspect. Money, body, face, and personality." Jennie nodded, comparing her preferences with the original Jennie's taste. She folded her arms, nodding in agreement. "That's right. He is..."
But as if life was bored at the peacefulness of her life, a voice from the side stole her attention.
"Jennie?"
Jennie slowly arched a brow, moving her head to the side. She looked up and her mouth instantly fell open.
An angel.
The man had his brows furrowed before the side of his lips curled up into a wide smile. "It's really you?" he laughed.
The man had a beauty one would be enthralled. If someone would give a face to an angel, he would be that face. His bright smile was enough to capture any woman's heart. But his beauty wasn't what shocked her, but who this person was.
Now Jennie understood why she had a crush on this man.
'What in the world?' Jennie watched the man invite himself to sit down opposite her. 'Holy freaking shit.'
Her mouth fell open, staring at the man blankly. Just now, she was thinking of Lisa sitting in that chair. Who would have thought that the man she didn't expect to take the spot? What made it even more ridiculous was the fight in her comment section came true!
'Damn you Jung Lea!' Jennie mentally swore Lea for being late, thinking she wouldn't idle in this place if she was a little earlier.
