The unspoken revelation should be enough for Bear to send his resignation to Lisa. However, he didn't. The reason was unclear even to himself. Perhaps it was because Jennie somehow reminded him of someone he was deeply fond of whom he longed for, or probably being involved in such things was engraved deep in his bones he just couldn't turn away from it.

Either way, Bear had another reason to stick around, and that was to see if this Jennie Kim could take away the demons that were with him day and night.

"So, this is the place?" Jennie glanced at the resort as they drove in the driveway.

The private resort was an hour and a half drive from the city, which explained her slight boreLisa in their journey. There were a lot of vans and people outside, carrying things that were needed for the filming.

Bear slowed down, glancing at her through the rear mirror.

"Oh, that's Senior Kim!" Jennie perked up and turned to the driver's seat. "I'll get off here."

"I was told to stay with you at all times."

"Seriously?" Jennie rolled her eyes. "Of all people, you should be the last person to think I can't protect myself."

Bear didn't answer, keeping his eyes on the road before he slowly pulled over to the side.

"Sweet!" Jennie excitedly jumped out of the car, only to walk to the front passenger seat. She knocked on the window, waiting for it to roll down.

"By the way." Jennie bent over, resting her arms on the window. "Whatever you see, stay in your post. Unless I called for help, don't ever step in, got it?"

Bear assessed her overall countenance. "My only job is to make sure you don't get harmed. I won't step in unless your life is in danger."

"Good, good!" Jennie nodded in satisfaction. "Anyway, just bring my things inside. I'll just be around — try to enjoy the scenery. Seeing wonderful scenery is good for old people, I heard. See ya!"

"..."

With that being said, Jennie happily skipped her steps away. Meanwhile, Bear didn't drive away immediately as he kept his gaze on her skipping figure.

"Was that... an attempt to say I should relax and watch?" he mumbled to himself. "What a truly baffling woman."

"Senior Kim!"

Kim Hanbin halted in his tracks upon hearing a familiar voice. When he turned around, his face brightened up at the sight of Jennie.

"Jennie!" he greeted while Jennie stopped two steps from him. "You're early."

"Am I?" Jennie grinned, biting her bottom lip in an attempt to stop herself from grinning. "Well, I guess I was a bit excited."

Her answer made him chuckle. "But it's a good thing you are here. I am on my way to meet Director Guan before practicing with my lines. Want to come with me?"

"Sure!" Jennie nodded profusely. "I still have to thank him for letting me in."

"Oh, I'm telling you. He's just glad to hear from you. Come." Hanbin tipped his head and the two of them walked into the premises. "To be honest, Director Guan was excited when I suggested you take the role. I can remember his initial reaction upon mentioning your name before he accused me of giving him false hope. But when I told him I met you some time ago, he was elated that you had shown interest in the project."

"Oh, come on. Don't exaggerate." Jennie chuckled, covering her lips with the back of her fist.

The two of them casually chatted on their way to the pool area where Director Guan was at. As expected, there were countless people in the pool and they were all from the production. The entire resort was booked for the filming and thus, there were no outsiders. Seeing how many people were around, Jennie was in awe.

"Gosh... so many people." Her eyes sparkled, looking around the open pool area and the people working around her.

Hanbin smiled warmly. "The budget is large. Thanks to all the generous investors of this movie."

"Well, considering this film is expected to be a box office, from a business perspective, all the money they put in will double," she humored back, casting him a knowing look.

"There's Director Guan." Hanbin just flashed her a smile before catching the person from the corner of his eyes. He pointed at the middle-aged man standing not far away, making Jennie turn her head.

She searched for the respected director, and her eyes fell on the slightly stout guy from the distance. He was just in his loose jeans and polo, talking to a group of staff with hand gestures. One could tell at one glance he was instructing the staff on how they should set up the pool.

If not for the original Jennie's memory, she wouldn't even know that was the respectable director people knew. He looked too... casual. But then again, the majority of people were just wearing clothes they could move around easily. Even Hanbin was still in casual pants and a shirt, though Jennie could tell it was an expensive pair.

'I guess without the original Jennie's memory, I wouldn't know that most of the people behind the camera weren't all glamorous.' She mentally nodded, a little amused at the behind-the-scenes of the film. 'No wonder Jennie fell in love with this line of work. Seeing the hard work of everyone and then seeing the result of everyone's hard work, how nice.'

"Let's go?" Jennie turned her head at Hanbin when the latter proposed, making her nod before following him.

As they were on the way to meet Director Guan, Jennie suddenly felt her heart clench. Her breathing slowed down, having the original Jennie's memories resurface in her head. The smile on her face slightly faded, lowering her head.

'Damn it...' Jennie clicked her tongue and sighed. 'She's already dead, but this heart sometimes makes me feel her emotions about certain things she was passionate about.'

Just now, she involuntarily reminisced about the original Jennie's first time coming to the set. The original Jennie was nervous and overwhelmed with passion, contrary to the current soul, who was rather oozing with confidence instead.

'What a way to ruin my mood.'
