As the tension between Jennie and Lisa continuously escalated, they both felt something vibrate in his suit pocket. At first, they ignored it, tangled in a passionate kiss while his hand busied himself with her body.
"Hmm." Her brows furrowed as she felt him taking off her shirt. "Won't you answer that?"
Jennie pointed at his chest with her lips. "It might be important."
Lisa leaned back, sighing. What could be more important than his private time with her? His schedule for the next hour was free, as he had finished his business meeting earlier than expected.
"I swear if this is a bunch of nonsense, I'd be very angry," came out a grumble, making her chortle, as he couldn't hide his irritation.
Lisa used to be a workaholic lad, barely having a second to breathe. Even his meals were eaten in the car, but now he was getting frustrated about work.
'I don't want to think I am a bad influence,' she thought, watching him fish his phone out to answer the call. 'But well, taking breaks is important. He wouldn't take his wealth in the afterlife. What's the point?'
Jennie could vouch for that because, in her first life, she had wealth one couldn't even measure. She probably had the same wealth as the Manoban Family. After all, money in the underground wasn't easy, but everyone was willing to pay a hefty sum to get the job done.
She kept her eyes on him. Lisa didn't even check who was calling him.
"What do you want?" Lisa's voice carried a tinge of irritation. He didn't even beat around the bush, urging the other person on the line to say their intention directly.
His brows slowly furrowed as he glanced at Jennie. Seeing the sudden change in his expression, Jennie furrowed her brows as well.
"Alright. I'll be there right away," was all Lisa uttered before ending the call.
"Babe, what's wrong?" Jennie inquired out of plain curiosity. "Is there an emergency in the company? If so, you don't have to drop me off. I can just go back to my ride and..."
"It's not about the company." Lisa sighed deeply. "It's Jevy."
The second Jennie heard her son's name, her heart thudded against her chest. She instantly felt this tightness in her heart as her mind instantly thought of different scenarios that happened to Jevin. Kidnapping even crossed her mind.

Jennie and Lisa didn't waste a second as they rushed to the principal's office of the learning center. It was good they were just nearby, and they arrived much sooner than they expected.
On their way to the office, Jennie could feel her heart almost leaping out of her chest with every step. Lisa already filled her in, telling her Jevin got into another fight.
They didn't know how bad it was.
To find out, the husband and wife rushed to where they held Jevin and the other kid.
Jennie almost ran as she reached for the doorknob, pushing it open without even knocking. Standing by the door, her eyes searched the principal's office. Her eyes immediately landed on the kid sitting on the long leather couch.
"Jevy." She held her breath, watching her son raise his head to show his bruised face.
Jennie felt like someone just splashed her with a bucket of ice, freezing her on the spot. She was unable to move or blink, holding her son's gaze. When Lisa came from behind her, he immediately caught Jevin's figure and then on the other kid across from his son.
'Him, again?' A frown instantly dominated his face, displeased at how his son seemed he was beaten up severely.
The last time, Jevin didn't even have a bruise as he punched that same kid in the face, causing a nosebleed. Even though Lisa knew his son wouldn't hurt someone else without a reason, he still thought of a patient punishment for this boy and his family.
This time was different.
Though in Lisa's mind, he at least had to keep his emotions at bay. He needed to hear what happened first to make a sound judgment.
"Lisa," Lisa glanced at Jennie when she called quietly. "Don't let go of me later... just don't."
Lisa furrowed his brows, but Jennie already took a step inside. The principal slowly rose from his seat, offering Lisa and Jennie a bow.
"I'm glad you came, Mr. Manoban," said the principal nervously. His lips were a little pale as this situation scared him to death. "Please, take a seat."
The principal was so nervous he didn't even question who Jennie was. All the students in the learning center came from well-off families. However, Jevin Manoban came from the Manoban family. That alone was another story.
Jennie just ignored the principal, sitting beside Jevin.
"Baby," she whispered, raising her trembling hand to cup his slightly swollen cheek. She could feel her heart sink at just the sight of Jevin, knowing her son got terribly hurt.
Jennie had memorized all kinds of wounds, so she could tell if one hurt or not.
Myriads of questions wanted to come out of her mouth, but her voice was stuck in her throat. She couldn't say another word, her lips quivering. However, her emotions didn't come from pain, but from anger.
Just over an hour ago, her son was fine! But now he was bruised and hurt.
When a red fluid dripped from one of his nostrils, Jennie's breath hitched.
"Your nose..." she quickly gazed at the table, reaching for the tissue to wipe her son's nosebleed. But just as she took out the tissue, she paused.
"I'm sorry, Mommy." Jennie slowly looked back at her son, wide-eyed. "You said to be good, but I still ended up fighting back. Are you disappointed in Jevy?"
Never in her life had she ever felt so heartbroken with just a few words. Jennie knew pain like it was her twin. But her heart just literally broke into a million pieces with just those words. She couldn't even describe it as her heart leaped to her throat, almost choking her.
