Jane had no experience in acting and she only accepted this role for a petty reason. Her confidence backed it up, knowing the original Jennie's memory would be a great help. Not that she was underestimating this line of craft, but for her, if she put her mind to it, she would pull it off.

Who would have thought?

That this role didn't need her acting at all.

All she had to do was be herself and make herself believe Hanbin was a friend in the underground. The mistakes Hanbin made didn't anger or upset her just like the rest because, unlike them, who were simply watching from the side, Hanbin was experiencing Jane's company.

That was why she was certain Lea would need a lot of patience because only rare people had ever enjoyed Jane's company. One of those rare ones was Bear. The rest? They never spoke a word without stuttering.

"So? Want to make a bet?" Jennie placed her arms on the tub's rim, resting her jaw on top of them, eyes on the man opposite her. "Whoever gets the culprit wins."

Hanbin narrowed his eyes while the side of his lips curled up seductively. "Call."

Satisfaction slowly turned up on Jennie's face, keeping eye contact with him. The two of them looked at each other as the camera focused on the look in their eyes.

"Cut!" Director Guan's voice intervened with the building atmosphere, sighing in relief. "Finally! A pass!"

Relief also turned up on everyone's faces, including Jennie and Hanbin. Hanbin huffed before casting Jennie a look. Both of them smiled at each other before the staff went to them, giving them towels so they could change. They had been going in and out of the tub since shooting this scene.

"Thank you." Jennie turned her head to her side where Hanbin was, tying the robe around her body. "Your advice was helpful. Although I'm a little ashamed that I kept telling you I'd help you, you ended up helping me instead."

"Heh. No biggie." Jennie finished tying her robe before facing him. "If you are thankful, you should buy me a meal sometimes."

"Sure. Wherever you want." He grinned. "Is this your last scene for today?"

"Well, yes. I only have one scene today." Jennie shrugged. "How about you?"

"I have to do five more, but because of me, it'll probably cut down to two." Hanbin smacked his lips, turning his head in the door's direction to see if Director Guan was still in his seat. "Though I'm not sure. Maybe he will squeeze in Lea's schedule. Anyway, are you going home after this?"

"Well, yeah. It's almost night and it will take an hour and a half drive to go home."

"I see. Are you with someone? Do you want me to ask my manager to take you home?"

"Senior Kim, that is very kind of you, but there's no need. Thanks, though." Jennie smacked her lips and jerked her chin in a certain direction. "He's with me."

Hanbin shifted his eyes to the corner, only to see a wide and tall man standing in the corner. At one glance, the man obviously has a well-built physique and an incredible stature. Although he had a few grey streaks in his hair and obvious wrinkles on his face, Hanbin could tell Bear had quite a youth.

"He is...?"

"My bodyguard."

"A bodyguard?" Hanbin looked at Jennie with furrowed brows.

"Mhm. A certain someone is a little overprotective. So, he hired a bodyguard." Jennie shrugged nonchalantly, just telling a story that she had no problem sharing. "Anyway, I'll go ahead and change. I might go straight home, so I'll see you around."

"Mm." Hanbin nodded, watching Jennie walk away carefully while hiding her body with the robe.

As Jennie reached the door, her bodyguard was already walking with her. A deep exhale escaped Hanbin's nostrils.

'Overprotective?' he repeated in his mind, frowning. 'Is it really true you were... with that man?'

"Achoo!" Jennie sneezed on her way to Lea's dressing room, where she left her things. Meanwhile, Bear walked a step behind her, glancing at her back as she rubbed her nose.

His lips parted, but then he shut them closed once again.

"What is it?" Bear raised his brows when Jennie spoke without looking back at him. "I can feel your judgemental gaze, Bear. Just tell me what you want to say."

Bear bit his tongue, but since she asked...

"Does Master know about this scene?" he asked, making Jennie halt in her tracks.

Her face stiffened as she reviewed what had happened in the past three hours. As she realized her boldness right in front of countless people, Jennie immediately looked back at him.

"Don't you dare tell him," she warned, pointing a finger at him. "I'll explain it to him myself!"

Bear didn't even snitch on her about that rope. What made her think he planned on telling Lisa?

"Rest assured. I'll keep my mouth shut."

Jennie suspiciously narrowed her eyes and huffed. "Lisa will definitely understand. Just give me some time."

Bear didn't answer anymore as he lowered his head, not interested in prolonging this conversation. After a few seconds, the two of them resumed their steps and soon reached Lea's room.

"Lea, I'm back~!" as soon as Jennie stepped into Lea's suite, her mood changed. Her lips were stretching even broader, only for them to disappear upon entering the suite.

"Huh?" Jennie looked around, detecting the gloominess in the room. "What's with this gloomy atmosphere and where's Lea?"

There were only a few people inside the suite. All of them were Lea's team. They only looked at Jennie before the makeup artist answered.

"Miss Jung just stepped out for a bit," said the makeup artist awkwardly. "She will be back if you can wait."

"Oh..." Jennie rocked her head in understanding before she hurriedly went inside to change. "Do you guys need help?"

"No, Miss Kim. It's fine."

"Just call me Jennie." Jennie picked up her bag and flashed them a kind smile. "You're my best friend's team — her second family. So, you don't have to be so formal."

The people inside could only look at sweet Jennie before the latter excused herself to change. The moment Jennie turned her back, everyone looked at each other with slight guilt in their eyes.

Lea's second family? AS IF!

When they set their eyes back to Jennie, all they could do was sigh. They spent so much time with Lea to know how Lea hated the woman she called her best friend with passion. They didn't know the reason, assuming it was because Jennie was just as short-tempered as Lea. So, when they met Jennie today, despite their brief interaction with her, they now felt sorry for Jennie.

Little did they know, the second Jennie turned her back on them, a sneer appeared on her face.
