"Well, this is... small."
Charlie chuckled as he looked around the flat. He had to admit, it was rather small, especially compared to the Burrow, but he didn't need a lot of space. It was just him. "At least it'll be easy to clean."
Veronica rolled her eyes playfully. "You know you're a wizard, right? Any size place is easy to clean when you're a wizard."
"Hey, leave my flat alone." Charlie shoved her shoulder gently. "I like it."
Veronica smirked. "I didn't say I didn't like it. I just said it was small. But don't worry, you just need a woman's touch. I'll be able to bring this place to life."
Together, the pair spent a couple hours unpacking Charlie's things and placing them around the flat. Slowly, they adopted a system. Charlie would place an item where he liked it, and then Veronica would come and move it somewhere else, and while he pretended to be annoyed with her, he would never admit that he liked where she put everything a lot better.

The next morning, Charlie's eyes fluttered open, and he took a moment to adjust to the light filling the room. He quickly made a mental note to take Veronica out to the local muggle shops to have her pick out curtains for the windows; there was much too much light in there. As she crossed his mind, he glanced over to her side of the bed, and that is when he felt her warmth radiating his left side. Looking down, his eyes widened. In her sleep, she had cuddled up to him, and her arm and leg were draped over him with her head on his chest. Charlie held his breath; they had never slept beside each other like this before, but without his mum there to worry about, they hadn't thought anything of it. It was the only bed in the flat, and neither one of them had wanted the other to sleep on the couch. Besides, they always stayed up late in his bed talking anyway. What was the harm? However, Charlie hadn't anticipated this, and it was driving him crazy. He could feel his morning wood hardening even more at the sight of her, and he wished they could stay like this forever. He wished he could make her his. He wished he could wake her up by spreading her legs and–
Charlie shook his head. He should not be having these thoughts about her. She was his best friend. And she would be leaving back to Hogwarts soon enough. He needed a cold shower.
Slowly peeling her off him without waking her, he slipped off to the bathroom and used the cold water of the shower to try to clear his thoughts, but nothing was working. He couldn't get the image of her out of his mind. He knew he would have to take care of it before going back out there, and he was glad the sound of the water was loud enough to drown out his quiet grunts.

Veronica had still been asleep when Charlie left for work that morning, so she had woken to find a note on his pillow letting her know when he would be back. He had to attend a short lecture that morning that would explain to him all the ins and outs of the Romanian Sanctuary, and then he would be given a tour of the place. He would be back before she knew it.
Opening the fridge, Veronica pulled out everything she needed to make breakfast. It was surprising how quickly she had gotten comfortable there. She knew she would miss this when it was time to go. She didn't even want to think about it.
