Chapter 31: At Least

Today, there's a big meeting of the Cupids. The agenda includes putting Toey on a golden tray and presenting him to Q, haha.

The meeting was at my house. Many people probably want to know why Toey had been avoiding Q and why Q took Toey home, right? So, come closer, and I'll tell you. But let me start with my story first.

That day when Kluen came to my house, he didn't meet Phum because Kluen's dad called and said there was an issue at home, so he had to leave urgently. For some reason, I felt a bit relieved that Kluen left about five minutes before Phum arrived. It was a close call.

When Phum arrived, he asked me to pack my clothes and stay over at his condo. He said he wanted to water our relationship before the semester break. Damn, but we just slept, nothing more. There was nothing in the bamboo groves, banana groves, olive groves, orange groves, lemon groves...

As for why Toey was avoiding Q, it was because Pan threatened that if Toey didn't do as he said, he would tell Q. The reason was to make Q surprised and curious about why Toey was avoiding him. It worked because Q asked me if his Nong Code was off his meds or something, he was acting strange.

And the reason Q took Toey home? Well, don't scream when you hear this. A friend of Tan's, named Krit or Krish, who studies medicine, was waiting for Toey and wanted to ask him out for a meal. Toey was trying to avoid him. Then our Phi Q rode a white buffalo to the rescue by pretending to be Toey's boyfriend and taking him home, everyone! When Toey told us, Pan and Mick almost bought fireworks to celebrate.

"I knew it, I knew it. If Q didn't have feelings, he wouldn't have said that."

"What do you think, Toey? Will you believe us this time? Will you make a move on Q?" Pan urged Toey.

"Honestly, I want to try, but what if I lose Phi Q again?" Toey looked at Tan with longing eyes, like a little dog who wants to have someone to rely on. Tan hugged Toey and smiled encouragingly.

"If you don't try, how will you ever know, Toey? Look at me, I went straight to tell Fang like a man. If you keep being scared, you'll keep hurting like this. But if Q rejects you, you might regret what you did, but only once. It's better than regretting not doing what you wanted for the rest of your life. As a man, you have to give it your all. What the hell are you afraid of?"

Tan hugged his brother, and Chan, who was sitting next to them, lightly pushed Toey's head. It was probably his way of his love for his little brother. We all smiled at him.

"Since I've been with you, Tan, I just realized today that I didn't make a mistake."

"What about before, Fang?"

Fang smiled and shrugged.

Toey bit his lip and looked down at his tightly clasped hands on his lap. We let him be with his thoughts. Whatever Toey decides this time, we'll respect his decision. If he's happy staying like this, we, as his brothers, will understand.

"Well... if I make a bold move, don't blame me ná, okay?"

"Yeah, that's it. You're truly my brother."
