As the semester ended, Aizawa offered hope to the students who had failed the final exam, informing them that they would still be going to the special camp in the summer. Before that, they were given two weeks of summer vacation.
In Kai's apartment, Toshinori sat across from Kai, "So, Kai, about I-Island," Toshinori began, his usual warm tone carrying a sense of excitement. "Melissa reached out and extended a special invitation for both of us to the I expo."
Kai leaned back in his chair. "Melissa already told me. I'm flying there today. She helped arrange everything so I wouldn't run into any issues."
Toshinori raised an eyebrow. "Flying there? You mean..."
Kai chuckled. "Maybe." He said as he gave his father a mischievous smile.
Toshinori sighed with a fond smile. "You really are something, Kai."
Kai nodded. "Yeah, I also got invited to the I-Expo. Melissa suggested I use the ticket for myself so that you can take Izuku when you go with my ticket."
Toshinori's expression softened. "You're sure?"
Kai nodded. "I'll be there first, and you can show up and surprise David at the end. It's all set."
Toshinori smiled gratefully. "Melissa's always thinking ahead of everything doesn't she"
Kai smiled "She always has, Well I guess I need to get going" he said with a small laugh as he got closer to the window holding his bags. "See you in a week dad" he said before jumping from the window.
Kai soared out into the sky, his figure cutting through the air as he began his flight towards I-Island.
"Alright, let's see," he muttered to himself, as he took a device signaling some coordinates. "From here to I-Island, it should take about three hours to arrive there if I take it easy, not bad."
As Kai soared over the open ocean with only the vast expanse of blue below him gave him liberating felling as the sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow on the water, and a gentle breeze brushed against his face.
Hours passed, and just as he was starting to get lost in the peacefulness of his journey, a faint chime from his earpiece interrupted his thoughts. He tapped it, and a voice crackled through.
A voice crackled through the earpiece, authoritative yet polite. "This is the head of security for I-Island. We've received a report of a flying figure approaching. Can you confirm your identity?"
Kai smiled at the formality. "I'm Superman. I'm sending you my verification code now."
He quickly input the code into the device, and a moment later, the security team's voice returned with a touch of relief. "Thank you for the verification. You have permission to land at the designated area. Welcome to I-Island."
"Thanks," Kai replied, easing into a steady descent as he approached the island.
As Kai touched down on I-Island, he was greeted by the bustling activity of the island's main airstrip. "Busy as always" Kai chuckled to himself when he noticed a security guard, dressed in a sleek uniform approaching towards him.
"Welcome to I-Island, Superman," the guard said with a polite smile. "I need to perform a routine inspection of your bags and verify your identification. It's standard procedure."
"Sure, do what you must" Kai said with a nod, setting his bags down for the inspection. The guard methodically checked his belongings, ensuring everything was in order. After a few moments, the guard completed the inspection and looked up with a grin.
"Everything's in order". The guard said with a smile as Kai nodded and prepared to leave where the guard spoke once more.
"Actually" he spoke with nervousness "If it's alright with you, my son is a huge fan of yours. Would you mind if I took a picture with you? He'd be over the moon."
