The morning sun shone brightly over U.A. High School, its rays casting long shadows across the training grounds as Class 1-A boarded the bus bound for the National Dagobah Arena. Inside, the air buzzed with a mix of excitement and nerves. Kara sat near the middle of the bus, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her gloves. Her usually confident demeanor was replaced with quiet apprehension.
Izuku, seated beside her, noticed her nervousness. "Hey, Kara," he began softly, offering her an encouraging smile. "You've got this. You're ready."
Kara glanced at him, her blue eyes betraying her unease. "I don't know, Izuku. What if I mess up? Everyone's counting on me... and Kai—"
Izuku interrupted her gently. "Kai trained you for this. You're just as strong as him, and you've worked so hard. There's no way you're not ready." His voice was steady, filled with confidence. "You're going to do great. And besides, we're all in this together. We'll have each other's backs."
Kara's expression softened as his words sank in. She took a deep breath and nodded, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Thanks, Izuku. I needed that."
Up front, Minoru twitched nervously in his seat, clutching the edge of it as if it were the only thing keeping him grounded. "What if I don't pass? What if—"
Shota Aizawa, seated near the front of the bus, glanced back at his jittery student. His tone was calm but firm. "Minoru, stop overthinking. Do your best. That's all anyone can ask of you."
As the bus rolled closer to their destination, Shota addressed the class, his expression serious but supportive. "Listen up. If you manage to pass today and earn your provisional licenses, you'll officially be semi-pro heroes. This is your first real step toward becoming the heroes you've all been training to be. So, give it everything you've got."
The weight of his words filled the bus, but it was Eijiro who broke the silence. He pumped a fist into the air, his enthusiasm infectious. "All right, guys! Let's go PLUS ULTRA!"
"PLUS ULTRA!" the class began to chant, but they were quickly interrupted by a loud, booming voice.
"PLUS ULTRA!"
Everyone turned to see a tall, broad-shouldered student standing nearby. His red scarf fluttered dramatically, and his energy was palpable. "Hello, U.A. students!" he said enthusiastically. "I just couldn't help but join in!"
The bus came to a halt, and the students filed out, staring at the newcomer with mixed reactions. "Who's this guy?" Denki whispered to Jirou.
Before anyone could respond, another voice rang out. "Inasa, what are you doing? Don't barge in like that!" A student in a Shiketsu High uniform, his demeanor calm and collected, stepped forward.
Inasa Yoarashi immediately bowed low, slamming his forehead into the ground with a resounding thud. "I'm sorry! I got carried away!"
Shota, watching the scene unfold, sighed softly and muttered to himself, "Of course, it's him." Addressing his class, he explained, "That's Inasa Yoarashi, a first-year from Shiketsu High, the top hero course in western Japan. He actually got the highest scores for U.A.'s recommended entrance exam but turned down his acceptance."
The students were taken aback, murmuring amongst themselves. Izuku blinked in surprise. "He's a first-year? And he's stronger than Shoto?"
Inasa, still grinning, stood upright. "I just wanted to say Plus Ultra once in my life! I love U.A. High School!" His energy was overwhelming, but his enthusiasm was genuine.
Seiji Shishikura sighed, rubbing his temples. "Could you at least try to act with some decorum, Inasa?"
As the students of U.A. and Shiketsu High exchanged glances, the tension in the air was a mix of anticipation and excitement. Kara looked at Izuku and whispered, "Well, this is going to be an interesting day."
