The sun dipped below the horizon as the second day of camp ended and the students were utterly exhausted.

"This brings back memories" Kai chuckled as he looked at the students remembering where he was in their place.

However, to the students disappear, there was no time for rest, as they were tasked with preparing their own dinner. Tonight's meal: curry. Despite their fatigue, and thanks to Lidas enthusiasm, they worked together to prepare the meal and after a few minutes the students were eating together. But Kai then noticed that Izuku was walking away from the dinner area and disappeared in the woods. Once he reached them in a small mountain, he found Izuku speaking to Kota as he listened from afar.

Izuku glanced at the boy, noticing the tension in his posture and the hunger etched on his face. "You're hungry, aren't you?" he began gently, offering a bowl of steaming curry. "You can eat this."

Kota's reaction was swift and fierce. "You! How'd you find this place?" he shouted, his anger bubbling to the surface.

Izuku stepped back, taken aback by the outburst. "Oh, sorry," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I followed your footsteps. I thought maybe you'd want something to eat."

"I'm fine. I don't need any," Kota scoffed, crossing his arms defiantly. "I told you, didn't I? I don't intend to hang out with you. Get out of my secret hideout!"

Izuku's curiosity piqued as he looked around the small space. "A secret hideout, huh?" he mused, absorbing the atmosphere.

Kota's scowl deepened. "Getting all into trying to improve your Quirk. It's gross. You want to show off your power that badly?" he muttered, though Izuku caught the words.

"Your parents... Could they be Water Hose? With the water Quirks?" Izuku ventured cautiously.

"Did Mandalay tell you?!" Kota exclaimed, his voice laced with betrayal and anger.

"Oh, no, um, uh... Sorry!" Izuku stammered. "Yeah, I kind of ended up hearing about it. Based on the information I got, I thought maybe it was an unfortunate incident." His tone grew somber. "I remember it."

"Shut up," Kota snapped, cutting him off.

"Everyone's crazy," Kota continued, his voice rising with frustration. "Calling each other stupid names like 'hero' and 'villain' and killing each other. Talking about Quirks and stuff. It's because they're all showing off that it ended up like that. Stupid!"

Izuku nodded, recognizing the deeper pain in Kota's words. "It's not just heroes. Kota hates Quirks and the superhuman society itself," he thought, feeling a pang of sympathy.

"What is it? If there's nothing else, then go away!" Kota demanded, crossing his arms tighter.

"Well, um, my friend..." Izuku hesitated, searching for the right words. "My friend couldn't inherit any Quirks from his parents."

Kota's interest piqued slightly. "Huh?"

"It's a hereditary thing, and apparently, it's rare but does happen," Izuku explained. "But he admired heroes and wanted to become one. The thing is, you can't be one these days without a Quirk. My friend couldn't accept that for a long time. He practiced trying to draw objects to him and breathe fire, but it was no good."

Kota's expression softened just a fraction. "There are a lot of different ways to think about Quirks," Izuku continued, his voice quieter now. "I don't know if this'll apply to everyone, but if you reject it that much, then it'll just make it more painful for you."

"Um, so... just shut up! Get out of here!" Kota added, frustration creeping back into his voice.

Izuku sighed, realizing he might have overstayed his welcome. "Sorry. I'm just rambling," he said, his heart heavy. "I'll leave the curry here."
