Three weeks flew by in a whirlwind of activity for Eri. With each passing day, her bond with Kai and Melissa deepened, and the idea of staying with them as her parents grew stronger in her mind.

Kai remained dedicated to his work at Titan Tower, balancing his responsibilities as a hero and as Eri's guardian

The little girl often watched him on patrol alongside Melissa control room alongside the other titans who were on patrol too.

Meanwhile, Melissa took on the role of teacher, patiently guiding Eri through basic math, literature, and grammar lessons. Eri found herself enjoying these sessions, soaking up knowledge eagerly and reveling in the feeling of learning something new every day. Melissa's gentle encouragement and nurturing demeanor made each lesson a joyous experience.

Through it all, Eri cherished the moments they spent together as a family. Whether it was sharing meals, discussing their days, or simply enjoying each other's company, Eri felt a sense of belonging she hadn't known before. Kai and Melissa's unwavering support and kindness filled her heart with warmth, easing the lingering uncertainties about her past and future.

As the day of the school festival drew closer, anticipation buzzed in the air. Eri looked forward to seeing Izuku and his classmates perform at the concert they had been preparing so diligently for. As they were now in the stage waiting for the event to start Kai could fell all his students scatter around the gym where the concert would take place, except for one. "Mirio, Mel I'll leave Eri with you, I'm going to wish luck to my students." Kai said with a smile

Kai went backstage when he found his students seeing Kara Ochako Lida, Momo, Behind the stage. "Guys, is everything okay?" Kai asked them to surprise the three students.

"Kai-Sensei" Ochako said with surprise "Yes, everything is mostly okay," Ochako replied, trying to muster a reassuring smile. However, her eyes darted nervously towards Kara who seemed tense.

Kai's gaze followed Ochako's, and he could sense the underlying worry. "Kara, what's going on?" he asked, his voice calm but filled with concern.

Kara stepped forward, her face reflecting her unease. "It's Izuku. He went out to buy some rope for the show, but he hasn't come back yet. It's been over an hour, and we're getting worried."

Kai's brow furrowed slightly. "Did he say where he was going to get the rope?"

"He mentioned a store a few blocks away," Lida interjected, his usual composed demeanor wavering slightly. "We thought it would be a quick trip, but now we're not so sure."

Kai took a deep breath, his mind already working through the possibilities. "Alright, don't panic. He might have just run into some delays. I'll go check it out. In the meantime, you three stay here and make sure everything else is ready. We can't let the show fall apart."

The students nodded, their faces reflecting a mix of relief and lingering concern. Kai turned and quickly made his way out of the gym, his mind focused on finding Izuku. He activated his communicator as he walked, trying to reach Izuku's phone, but there was no answer.

As Kai exited the building and headed towards the store Izuku had mentioned, an uneasy feeling gnawed at him. Izuku was dependable and always punctual; for him to be late like this was out of character. The vibrant festival atmosphere only heightened Kai's sense of urgency as he navigated through the bustling crowds.

Pausing for a moment, Kai used all his senses to search for Izuku. He took a deep breath, allowing his senses to extend outward, honing in on the familiar presence of his student. Within seconds, he detected Izuku, but his heart skipped a beat when he sensed another presence nearby.
