The streets disintegrated beneath fleeing civilians. Cars, lampposts, and entire structures collapsed into ash, their silhouettes flickering for only a heartbeat before being erased completely. The shockwave raced outward in a spreading gray horizon, and heroes scattered in every direction.
Some weren't fast enough. Their screams were short—cut off mid-breath—as the Decay touched them, their bodies collapsing into clouds of powder that joined the storm.
Above, Pixie-Bob slammed her hands into the breaking pavement, shouting desperately:
"Earth Flow! I can stop it—I can slow it down!"
For a moment, the ground shuddered—mounds of stone rising to form barriers, trying to choke off the spreading decay. But it was useless. The Decay ate through the earth itself, devouring her walls like sand.
"No—no! It's still spreading!"
Just as the creeping cracks raced toward her, Tiger lunged forward, his massive frame slamming into her side as the ground beneath them disappeared. He carried her skyward in a desperate leap, the two barely clearing the collapsing zone.
"Forget the earth! Just run!" he roared.
Pixie-Bob looked down, eyes wide in horror as the city vanished beneath them—everything she'd tried to save turning to ash.
High above the chaos, Gran Torino, Present Mic, and the bound Kyudai Garaki soared through the black smoke and red haze, the old hero's cloak whipping violently in the rising updrafts. From this height, the scale of the destruction was almost incomprehensible—miles of city already gone, a roiling sea of dust rolling outward in every direction.
Kyudai's laughter broke through the wind. Low, guttural, triumphant.
"Hahaha... magnificent!"
Present Mic's eyes snapped toward him, fury in his expression.
"You think this is funny?! Look down there! Those are people—heroes—dying!"
Kyudai didn't even flinch. The glow of the destruction reflected off his glasses as he tilted his head back.
"You heroes thought you could stop evolution itself... but what you're witnessing is inevitability."
Gran Torino's jaw clenched. "Shut your mouth, you lunatic!"
But the old doctor continued, his voice swelling with mania.
"Even with all your planning, your alliances, your Plus Ultra spirit... it doesn't matter! You prepared for today—and yet, it's already over!"
He raised his trembling hands, almost worshipfully, toward the crumbling city below.
"For now... the true successor of All For One has awakened. A Plus Ultra Tomura Shigaraki—the perfect vessel of destruction. And everything you've built—your schools, your heroes, your false hope—will crumble!"
The city convulsed again, the Decay tearing through another district, the screams of terrified civilians carried away by the wind.
Gran Torino's grip tightened around the doctor's collar, his weathered eyes burning with restrained rage.
"You'll watch your monster burn for this."
Kyudai only smiled, whispering,
"Oh... he's already far beyond your reach."
Below them, the hospital and half of Jaku City vanished into a storm of ash—the dawn of Tomura Shigaraki's rebirth.
Amid the chaos, Izuku Midoriya's eyes widened in horror as the wave of decay approached the evacuation zone. There was no time to think — only act.
