Kai rocketed forward with a sonic boom, his cape billowing behind him as he closed the distance between himself and the monster. Now, with its torn suit barely clinging to its hulking form, the creature's true appearance was revealed—its skin was an unnatural gray, rough like stone, with jagged white bone spikes protruding from its arms, shoulders, and back. Its crimson eyes burned with raw, unrestrained fury, and its entire presence radiated an aura of destruction.

The force of Kai's approach shattered every window in the surrounding buildings, glass raining down like shards of ice. The moment of impact was cataclysmic. Kai's fist collided with the beast's massive hand, and the sheer energy of their clash sent out a shockwave that rippled through the battlefield. The ground beneath them cracked and cratered from the force of their struggle.

The two powerhouses stood locked in a brutal contest of strength, neither willing to give an inch. Kai pushed forward, his muscles straining, his red energy flaring from his eyes. The monster, unyielding, let out a guttural growl, its grip tightening as it pushed back, its sheer mass making it nearly immovable.

The monster let out a guttural, bone-chilling roar, and before Kai could react, its crimson eyes flared with pure, concentrated heat.

Twin beams of red-hot energy erupted from its sockets, surging toward Kai with the power of an unrelenting inferno. There was no time to dodge. The beams struck him dead center, and for the first time in his life, Kai felt pain.

The force of the blast sent him hurtling through the air like a missile, his body crashing through an entire office building, tearing through steel and concrete as if they were nothing. He finally came to a stop after smashing through multiple floors, his body embedded in the remains of a collapsed wall.

Dust and rubble settled around him, the world eerily silent for a moment. Then, a single drop of blood dripped from his forehead, rolling down his face before falling onto the cracked ground below.

Kai stared at the crimson droplet in disbelief. His breathing was ragged, his mind struggling to process what had just happened.

He had bled before—once. The Nomu that was made to face his father. But this? This was different. He slowly raised a shaking hand to his forehead, feeling the warm blood smear against his fingers.

That thing just hurt me with my own ability.

The realization sent a chill down his spine.

This thing...

It was created.

A pit formed in Kai's stomach as the answer became painfully clear. The raw power, the unstoppable regeneration, the way it had adapted to every attack thrown at it. And now, the use of his own heat vision—it all pointed to one person.

All For One.

His jaw clenched, his fists tightening as his eyes burned with fury. His mind raced through the implications. All For One had created something that could not only rival him but hurt him in a way nothing else had. He wasn't just facing a monster. He was facing a weapon.

Melissa's voice came through his comm-link, shaken. "Kai... are you okay?"

Kai didn't answer right away. He pushed himself off the rubble, his movements slow but deliberate. He took a deep breath, then finally spoke, his voice dangerously calm. "...I'm going to tear this thing apart."

Outside, the monster stomped forward, its glowing red eyes locked onto the spot where Kai had crashed. It let out another roar, daring him to continue.

Kai wiped the blood from his forehead, then shot forward like a red blur, breaking the sound barrier as he charged straight at the beast.
