The setting sun cast a warm orange hue over the road as the car hummed steadily along the highway. Toshinori Yagi, his once youthful appearance now tempered by age and wisdom, sat behind the wheel, his grip steady on the steering wheel. Beside him, Kai, a tall young man with an easy smile, looked out the window, his thoughts elsewhere.

It had been a long day, filled with meetings and updates, but the moment he glanced at his phone, a small grin tugged at his lips.

"Hey, Dad, look at this," Kai said, his voice light, as he held up his phone, his thumb scrolling through the screen.

Toshinori glanced over briefly before focusing back on the road, but when he saw the image on Kai's phone, his attention fully shifted. It was a photo of Izuku and Kara, both smiling with their provisional hero licenses in hand, the pride evident on their faces.

"Ah, they both passed..." Toshinori smiled, a genuine sense of pride warming his chest. His deep blue eyes softened as he looked at the image for a moment longer. "Good kids... they've worked so hard."

Kai chuckled; his smile contagious. "They really did. It's good to see them reaching another milestone."

Toshinori nodded, his eyes briefly flickering toward the photo once more. As the car drove on, Kai tapped a message on the phone.

Toshinori's smile remained for a few more seconds as he read the brief message attached to the photo.

"Bakugo and Todoroki didn't pass..." Toshinori muttered softly, his brow furrowing ever so slightly as the words sank in.

The hum of the car continued as it sped down the road, the dimming light of the evening outside reflecting the quiet conversation within. Kai glanced over at his father, the weight of the news about Bakugo and Todoroki still lingering between them.

"We should ask Aizawa what happened," Kai suggested, breaking the silence as he leaned back in his seat. "He might have some insights into what went wrong for them."

Toshinori nodded, his hand tightening slightly on the wheel. "We'll make sure they're okay. But it's still tough, seeing those two struggle."

Kai's gaze softened, but he didn't respond. Instead, they continued their drive, the city lights beginning to flicker as they neared U.A.

Back at U.A., the students of Class 1-A were preparing for their first day of regular classes after the Provisional Hero License Exam. The atmosphere was a mix of anticipation and exhaustion, with most students looking forward to a restful night after the grueling test. Yet, a sense of tension lingered in the air, especially for certain students who were still processing their results.

Kara was making her way upstairs, ready to crash into bed, when she overheard something in the hallway. Katsuki's voice cut through the air, sharp and demanding.

"Oi, Deku, we need to talk."

Izuku, who had just been about to enter his room, stiffened at the sound of his name. Kara paused at the top of the stairs, watching her friend. His body was tense, shoulders slightly hunched, as if preparing for something, but he didn't hesitate. With a quick glance at her, his eyes soft but filled with a quiet determination, Izuku nodded.

"I'll be right back," he said softly, offering Kara a weak but reassuring smile before walking out of the room and down the hallway.

Kara couldn't help but watch as Izuku followed Katsuki outside, her instincts telling her that something more was brewing between them than the usual rivalry. She stood there for a moment, the silence of the dorms enveloping the space, before she made her way upstairs.
