Now Funny and Donald didn't always see eye to eye. Even when they had first met! Funny had done his best to show that he was friendly and meant no harm but to Donald, who has a history of magical things doing him wrong, Funny was just another wolf in sheep's clothing waiting to get him. Which was hurtful to Funny, since he'd never let anything bad happen to anyone, but he understood. He met a lot of people, creatures and spirits alike who had a thing about magical beings so he knew he just had to keep on Donald's good side or just keep away from his side altogether to keep the duck at peace...but peace was all that Funny could try to hope would come after the talking to he was getting." He saw you?! "
" W-Well, I wouldn't say that! Goofy hid me before I had the chance to- "
" Funny! We talked about this! You can't just pop around here! This isn't Funhouse Forest, people can spot you! "
" I-I know that, Donald! But-But I never get the chance to see you guys do your cool racing thing and I..I thought I was being careful this ti- "
" Well not careful enough if you almost got caught! "
Funny's words got caught on his tongue and his expression lowered to a tired stare. He really did try to be careful that time. He normally turned off any sense of the gang off when they went back home so he wouldn't feel like he was snooping in on their personal lives. Soooo, trying to pop in without trying to " look " for his friends was quite the challenge! There were so many instances where he found himself having to shift into different items to keep his identity a secret. A particular memory of his was when he accidentally found himself at a kid's birthday party and he quickly shifted into a pinatã to keep cover. Let's just say he was sore for a few weeks and adventuring was off the table until then. Donald noticed Funny's expression and his temper subsided. He couldn't be all that mad at him, it was like telling someone not to touch a big, red button (something he had done at many points of his life). " I'm sorry, Funny. You know I don't mean to be so angry with you. Its just..." He sighed as Funny's gloomy expression softened, " You're very special to us and we just don't want you to get taken away by Heist! He could really hurt you. "
Funny felt his sadness flutter away when Donald said that he was " special " to them. It was nice to know that they thought so highly of him even when he had his not so good moments. " I understand and I'm sorry for the scare, I just really want to hang out with you guys in Hot Dog Hills! Ya know, see the sites, see you race, or eat a hot dog or two! " He smiled while zooming around the garage in glee. Donald and Goofy chuckled while Funny found himself staring out one of the closed garage windows that overlooked the town. If you could look closely, you'd see its reflection deep within his eyes. Donald walked over to his friend and sighed. " Well, you could do all that but you'd need some sort of disguise that could help you blend in! But...what kind of disguise could do that? " Donald said while scratching his head. Funny's eyes looked down and moved left to right as he " searched " for an idea before a lightbulb went over his head. He looked over to Don and then back over to Goofy (who was eating a saved Goofy Dog from his hat) with a huge grin.
" Oh, I have juuuuust the idea! "
