What about me? pt. 4

After cleaning the rest of the destruction up, the day started going more smoothly! Now, the gang was just doing more easy rescues like saving rooftop toys, getting little kittens out of the many...MANY trees that were around the city, saving the window washer from (of course) falling to his doom and then trying to convince him to find a better job (...maybe that rescue wasn't so easy) and so many other things but Windy started to notice something. During a lot of the rescues, Windy didn't get much of a chance to help everyone out. Everyone wanted Super Toodles's help! Now, that wasn't what upset Windy...it was the fact that Windy had been gently tucked to the sidelines every time there was a problem to be solved.

With the last rescue, everyone had gotten just about every toy except for one that was tangled in a mess of branches that belonged to a tree. There was a small opening, enough for Windy to squeeze through and find a solution but before they could get to the opening, Mickey called for them to come back. " Look, Windy!, " He pointed to the hero who suddenly had a bubble wand in his hand, " Super Toodles has an idea! " He blew a small bubble and it traveled through the hole and when it came back down, it held the toy inside. Super Toodles grabbed the bubble very gently and then brought it down for everyone to see. " Got it! " He cheered, giving everyone a big smile. Windy chirped. " That's one strong bubble! " They signed. Toodles eagerly popped the bubble and handed the toy to Goofy.

" Come on! L-L-Lets go give these ba-b-back! " He instructed, taking the lead. While everyone followed, Windy flew just a bit slower behind everyone. They didn't like the feeling that was beginning to bubble in their chest. Jealousy wasn't something that they felt often and they liked keeping it that way. It wasn't a feeling that made you feel good or think nice thoughts so Windy tried their best to shake the feeling away. While they did that, they didn't notice Funny, who had taken the time to slow down as well so he could check up on them, was floating right at their side. " Windy? Wiiiiiindy? " He called out. They were startled at first and flinched from the sudden voice. " Oops! Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you! " Apologized Funny, Windy waving him off. " No no! You're okay, I just wasn't paying attention, " The weathervane sighed, " What are you doing back here? Shouldn't you be up with the others? "

" Shouldn't you? " Funny asked, frowning a bit. Windy turned their head away and ' looked ' down. Funny's concern only grew. " You wanna talk about it? " He asked softly. Windy hesitated for a second before nodding. " Promise you won't be...upset? " They asked. Funny's brow raised. " Now when have I ever gotten upset with you? " He asked. Windy lifted their head and tapped their ' chin ' thoughtfully. " Last week! You were upset with me because I wouldn't let you stay up to watch the Zany Mulaney cartoon marathon that lasted all night! "  There was a ' whomp ' sound and when Windy turned to look at Funny, they started twittering which sounded like laughter. He did not look amused, in fact, he looked a bit embarrassed. His cheeks were even that dark blue hue.

" Windy? " He asked before clearing his throat. They snorted and smiled, Funny soon doing the same. Then, they explained the whole problem with a bit more confidence than they had before.
