Funny's Not So Scary Halloween Party! pt. 3

Halloweenville wasn't called " Halloweenville " for nothing! The place was decorated to the BRIM scarily! Bats flew around to help set up lights in high places, some ghosts were playfully possessing blow-up decorations and talking it up with passer byers,  sea serpents helped move drink jugs from one place to another for the party that was going on, werewolves were giving wolfie-back rides to all the kids who wanted them and so much more! Oh, it was a Halloween lover's dream! And Donald, for sure, thought he was dreaming! " DAISY AND DONALD! " Boomed a voice that caught the two ducks and mummy's attention. Mayor Franken-Pete waved excitedly by the fountain in the middle of the town and the three jogged over. " Mayor Franken-Pete! Happy Halloween! " Cheered the two. He chuckled. " Why thank you but, I must say, it's always Halloween here. " There was a giggle heard from both Daisy and the mummy girl.

The Mayor kneeled, waving. " Mimzy! Well well, I'm happy to see you out and about, my dear! " He cooed in a suddenly gentle voice. Mimzy nodded, biting at her fingers again. " Well, I hope I'll see you at the party we'll be having. " He asked but she shifted uncomfortably. Donald and Daisy looked at each other. " What's the matter, Mimzy? " Asked Daisy, " You've been nervous the whole time we've been together! " The Mayor spoke up. " Mimzy isn't such a big fan of the scary bits of Halloween. " He explained which made Donald gasp in disbelief. " She's a- you're a-...you're a MUMMY! You should be all over Halloween! " He cried out, frowning at her. The little Mummy girl seemed saddened by this and avoided Donald's gaze. The Mayor's bolts began to spark a bit from his anger but he took a deep breath.

" While she is a creature of Halloween, she CAN have a fear of it! " He sighed, " You can like something and still have your worries about it. " Donald laughed. " How? If you're afraid of something, how can you like it? " He challenged which angered both The Mayor and Daisy. " Just like how Funny doesn't like the dark but they'll still play flashlight tag with us. Even though the dark is a big fear, they still like it because of the fun we all have together! " Daisy explained. The Mayor chimed in also. " Or how someone can like Horror movies but be afraid of them! You can still enjoy the story and the characters and be afraid of the terrible bits! " The duck only rolled his eyes and laughed again. " Mimzy is a mummy who's afraid of the one holiday where she can be scary and that's just plain silly! Whoever heard of a monster being afraid of their day? "

Well, Mimzy's eyes welled up with tears and she yanked herself free from Daisy, running off toward the open fields. " DONALD! Ugh, now look at what you've done! " Groaned Daisy as she took off after the little girl, " MIMZY, WAIT! " Mayor Franken-Pete's bolts sparked up again and his teeth clenched but he didn't let himself throw a fit. He simply squinted at Donald, shook his head, and then ran off after the girls. The duck blinked a few times before frowning. What? He was right! You couldn't like something while also being afraid of it! That was just plain silly! " A mummy afraid of Halloween, ha! Whoever heard of that? " He mumbled to himself while sitting down at the base of the fountain. He nearly fell in when a voice answered him in a slightly saddened tone.

" I've heard of a lot of things that sound like that. " Said Funny from below. Donald looked down to see Funny floating into the water as a toy sailboat. Phew! Just the Funhouse. " And that's plain silly! " Donald smiled while taking the boat out to hold. Though, he felt bad when he saw the unamused face that Funny had. " ...come on, you have to see the IRONY in this! " He tried. Funny merely rolled their eyes. " Did you ever stop to think that maaaybe Mimzy sees the IRONY in this too? " They asked with a sigh. Donald stayed silent for a bit. He didn't think about that... but would she? Sure! She had to have! It would be too obvious not to. " ...well, no, I didn't think about that. " " Maybe Mimzy knows it sounds silly for a monster to be afraid of Halloween but she just can't help it. " Donald felt his heart slightly throb a bit.

Suddenly, Donald heard a scream that sounded like Mimzy's and he looked towards the field to see a kid werewolf and sea creature running back and laughing. They high-fived each other while Daisy and The Mayor yelled at them. " She's so easy to scare! A mummy who doesn't like Halloween! " Laughed the Sea creature. " What a scary cat, huh? " The Werewolf crackled. They passed up Funny and Donald who heard the conversation. The duck felt his stomach grow heavy from what he had just heard. " ...and maybe they know she knows.. " Donald mumbled.
