Funny twirled a broom swept up some of the dust n sand that was scattered on the floor. After about three or four sweeps in, he suddenly paused and stared at the sea floor from a sudden realization: The sea was covered in sand so what was the point of this? He blinked a few times before shrugging and returning to sweeping. " Eh, it keeps me busy and it'll keep Octo-Pete calm knowing work is being done. " He mumbled, glancing at the reader with a quick smile. When he deemed the sand leveled and ' clean ', he saw that Donald needed help holding a banner up on the stage. One side kept falling out of place every time he'd go to work on the other side and, by the sight of his white feathers slowly turning red, Funny had a few seconds before the banner would be destroyed altogether.

Donald took a few breaths. He felt his spines begin to flick up. Now, he could appreciate the fact that Funny had made his fish counterpart a pufferfish. He could protect himself from any danger that came his way by puffing up and they were very sweet creatures to begin with but sometimes, being a pufferfish mermaid was a challenge. " Come on, Donald. Just breathe! " He told himself while trying again with the banner. He figured that he could just secure one bit and then work on the other part and it was a good idea but the idea of it suddenly being crooked only made him more annoyed. He was just about to hammer the nail in when he saw, from the corner of his eye, the other side of the banner rising to be straight across. He felt his spines go down completely. " Thanks! " He smiled. " No problem, Mister Duck! " Chirpped a child's voice.

Donald blinked and looked to the right of him. There was a little mermaid girl! Red dreads, green tail, purple top, and facial markings but Donald didn't recognize her. " Hello little girl, " He said, " Where did you come from? " She pointed afar. " From other there! I asked my Daddy if I could help with the party and he said ' yes! ' but it took a LOOOOOT of convincing! " She giggled before holding her hand out for the hammer. Donald looked at his hand before quickly hammering in his nail and giving it to the girl who then hammered the other nail in. She soon swam back a bit and admired the work, Donald doing the same. It was perfect! " Woah! Better than I expected, " Cheered Donald, " Thank you again! I'm Donald Duck! Who are you? " " Oh! My name is- " She was cut off by a very excited voice who was swimming behind them. " ARIEL! You made it! "

Funny stimmed, his hand flapping a bit and his ears wiggling. " FUNNY! " She cheered. Donald alternated between looking at both mermaids. " Wait wait wait, you two know each other? " He asked. The two nodded and they both alternated telling the short story of how they met. At the end, Funny snapped his fingers and pointed to where Daisy and Minnie where. They were placing decorations all around. " Let's go see if they need any help! " He suggested. Ariel nodded and looked to Donald who looked back at her and then to Funny. " Okay! I'm done with my job anyhow! " He shrugged. To say the girls adored Ariel was an understatement because they were fawning over her while they worked. It was as if they had found a long-lost daughter or sister of some sort but was cute to see the two so happy. Daisy was helping Ariel with the last of the flowers when the duck sighed a bit.

" Are you okay, Miss Daisy? " Asked Ariel. Daisy nodded. " Mmhm, it's just Octo-Pete I'm worried about. " She said. The little mermaid started placing the flowers around. " Why? Is he okay? " She asked. Daisy shook her head. " He thinks this party should be absolutely perfect but he's driving himself mad because of it. " Explained Daisy, wiping off the counters a bit. Ariel seemed surprised by that. " Really? Why does the party need to be perfect? It seems fine to me! " Said Ariel. " Well, the party is for a princess. " She explained. Ariel's eyes widened and she looked away, smiling. " R-Really? Well, I think Octo-Pete should relax too! Princesses are important but they have feelings too! If I were a princess, I'd think this party was fine just the way it is because of all the love and time that was put into setting it up! " She giggled.

Daisy smiled at Ariel. " I think you'd make a great princess. You're really kind and you look on the bright side of things! You remind me a lot of my Minnie...and Funny over there. " She sighed with a happy smile. Ariel beamed in pride. " Come on, we have one last thing to do and then it's party time! "
