Taylor's POV
My hands sweat as Travis' enters the door and not just because I'm on the other side of the world in Sydney. I've got two tracks for the new album I announced at the Grammy's and they say quite a few things about mine and his relationship. Okay, they say a LOT of things about mine and his relationship.
He walks through the door throwing his bags to the side carelessly before running over to me and wrapping his arms round my neck and pressing his warm lips to mine.
"God I've missed you baby" he says as he pulls away. Even though we only saw each other a week ago a lot has happened.
He sweeps me off my feet pulling me onto the couch with him putting his arm round me as I lean my head on his chest.
"Me too" I say finally.
"What's going on with the album? Everything ready for it?" he says. It's cute how he cares about my career and music even though he's a bit clueless on how things like this work at times considering I've been working on TTPD since just before Midnights was even released. God, that's nearly 2 years ago. So much has happened since then, when I started writing TTPD it was when me and Joe were going down already and I can't believe I'm so happy now. This gives me a perfect cue to get Trav's permission to add the songs to the album.
"Oh it's good, I've had most of it finalised for a while I just need your input on two songs"
"Sure" he says nodding completely oblivious to the fact the songs I'm about to show him are about himself.
Travis' POV
I nod and grimace hoping these songs don't make me want to strangle Matty Healy like a few others she's shown me parts of as a forewarning already have.
She pulls up the audio files on her MacBook and starts playing the first one titled "The Alchemy" oh god what's this going to be about. I gulp silently as the opening chords begin to play,
"This happens once every few lifetimes, These chemicals hits me like white wine,"
Yep Taylor was chronically unlucky with some of the men she's had in the past.
"What if I told you I'm back the hospital was a drag worse sleep that I've ever had"
Wait. Did he hurt her? I swear when I find that man.... I do need to do something about Taylor's midnight songwriting sessions though.
"I circled you on a map, I haven't come around in so long, but I'm making a comeback to where I belong"
Her voice really is pretty, I always end up starstruck during 'Don't Blame Me' and at the tour where she can just do it non-stop. I hate how she tries to downplay herself to make herself seem less impressive and the tour is the one place where she can't do this. Seriously her least played "flop" as she called it has over 13 million listens on Spotify. If that's seen as a flop I'd hate to see what a bop looks like. I swear every time I look Shake It Off gets another billion listens.
"So when I touch down call the amateurs and cut em from the team..."
Holy Shit. I think this song is about me. I realise I've kept my expression very stoic so far so immediately let out a big grin and feel Tay's eyes fall upon mine. She did not just write a song about me. A Love Song. God. I thought the best I could get was 'Karma is the guy on the chiefs' or the Archer pose in the concerts but an entire 4 and a half minutes of her singing about me.
The ending bits of the song ring out and I immediately pull her into me deeply kissing her and begging for more of her. She wraps her arms around my neck before whispering, "There's more Trav"
