There Might Be A Few Songs On There About Me (Pt 2)

Travis' POV

I drive off to the OTA's hoping they will be done fast so I can get some quality time with Tay before she heads to Europe on the next leg of her tour. The second I get in the room I get absolutely ambushed. 

"Yo Trav"

"Old T Swizzle's album had a few songs about you bro" 

"Truth Dare Spin Bottles You Know How To Ball I Know ARISTOTLEEEE" 

I roll my eyes at their shenanigans. Most football players apart from maybe Jonathan Davino's talents don't really stretch past tackling people. 13 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs has taught me which guys NOT to suggest to do karaoke with. 

"Tell Taylor I loved the album" Chris shouts at me, apart from me of course he's probably the biggest actual fan of her music but I'm not gonna lie he was pretty bummed when she announced TTPD not Reputation Taylor's Version. That little rep clown. 

I sigh plonking myself down to Pat.

"I aint never playing GTA with you again bro" he jokes, "Well at least not until GTA 6 comes out but hopefully you'll have stopped groping all over your girl by then"

I grin at him, 
"Oh they'll be even more songs about me by then"

He raises his eyebrows.

"I'm shit at writing I don't know how on earth she can just write like thirty different songs in the middle of a tour, a 3 hour tour without breaks or an O Line to take over, I worked it out and that's like 10 football seasons Trav"

"Me neither - Well I do know how she does it actually she just doesn't sleep or something it's crazy"

"Did she tell you about So High School? Or what was the other one? Oh The Alchemy?"

"I got a little heads up" I smile at him as Big Red shouts at us to get out on the field. 

A few hours later.....

"Travis" Jason's voice blares through the car speaker.

"Oh my god Jason have some volume control" I say, my ears already ringing, "I'm in the car what's up?"

"Did Taylor really write a song about you?" he asks shocked.

"Two songs actually Jason" I correct him smugly.

"Did you like force her to or something?" he asks.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I reply.

"I mean she's her and her albums already had a billion listens and you're you and you know?" That last part is true, her album was the fastest album to reach a billion streams giving me a proud boyfriend moment.

"You're just jealous I got a song and you didn't" I brag.

"No I'm not it's just that woman must really love you" he says and I smile.

"Well yeah, I'm pretty irresistible" I say joking, when Jason knows very well I'm even more head over heels in love with Taylor, 

"Just don't fuck this up Travis, she can write breakup songs too and I quite like her and want her to stick around" he says. That's all anyone keeps on telling me, "Don't screw this up" "You know how lucky you are right?" "Don't break her heart" And while I'm going to do everything in my power not to it's a tad insulting. 

"Well I don't plan on breaking her heart any time soon especially considering I've got an engagement ring that's almost finished being designed" 

I can almost hear Jason's jaw drop through she screen. Oh shit. I forgot to tell anyone that. I actually was planning on not telling anyone. Oh well I'll just try get one of those NDA thingys of Tree and force Jason to sign it or something. I'm not sure how it works but it seems to do it's job well enough.

"Oh my god Travis, you're seriously gonna ask Tay to marry you?"

"Umm yeah, probably in the summer or something" I say as casually as I can pull off.

"Damn I was expecting you to propose to her eventually but you caught me off guard bro" he says 

I laugh, "That's exactly what I had in mind"

"Me and Ky are maybe going to come see one of the shows in Europe this summer," he says,

"That'd be great bro, I'm coming until like the last possible one I can go to, how is it being able to do so much more?" I say dancing around directly addressing his retirement, It's bullshit how his last season ended for him but I know retiring was the right thing to do for him,

"It's a bit crazy, I'm actually gonna be able to see the Olympics this year," 

"You lucky thing" I say, the summer Olympics are always during training camp and the winter ones are always during the season so I haven't been able to see them since I joined the NFL.

"Anyways bye tell Taylor we love the new album and our favourite song is I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" he says, "I'll send you a video of Wy and Ellie singing it,"

I smile at the mention of my nieces, "Thanks, will do, talk to you soon," as I press the hang up button.

It's nice to know that even if I'll get teased for it my family and friends know how amazing Tay and her music are and can see her the way I do.
