A/N I STILL NEED TO FIND THE TIME TO WATCH GROTESQUERIE SO DON'T JUDGE THIS CHAPTER APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE - I DID DO A PICASSO STYLE COLLAGE OF MAGAZINE CUTOUTS OF TRAVIS KELCE IN ART THE OTHER DAY THO AND I GAVE HIM REALLY BIG EARS AND SUNGLASSES

Travis' POV

The trailer on set was filled with all the usual stuff—snacks, energy drinks, a script scattered over the table—but none of it could quite take my mind off how much I missed her. It had been a few weeks since Taylor had flown out to Europe for her tour, and while I was thrilled for her, I was also counting down the days until she'd be back.

I'd never imagined being away from her would feel this weird. I checked my phone again and grinned when I saw her name pop up on FaceTime.

"Hey, stranger!" I said, her face filling the screen with that bright smile of hers. Even over video, she somehow made me feel like the luckiest guy alive.

"Hey!" she replied, eyes crinkling in that way I loved. "I thought I'd catch you on break. How's it going over there? You look... a little rough," she teased, noticing the stage makeup smeared under my eyes.

"Thanks, that's exactly the confidence boost I needed," I joked, rubbing at my face. "But yeah, the crew here doesn't mess around. You should see some of these setups—it's like walking into a horror movie. There's this creepy doll room, an attic full of spiderwebs, and they even hired a live raven that watches us. Like, it just sits there, judging us."

She laughed, holding up a coffee cup. "Sounds like a dream job, really. So how are you holding up without me?"

I grinned. "Not great. I'm one haunted house away from getting on a plane to Europe just to escape this place."

"Well, you're always welcome to join me," she said, giving me a hopeful look. "You know, Europe's pretty romantic this time of year."

"Oh, don't tempt me," I replied, only half-joking. "Just say the word, and I'm there. Right after I survive this doll scene."

Taylor laughed again, but I could see a little flash of something in her eyes. She missed me, too, and that thought somehow made the distance a little easier to handle.

Taylor's POV

Seeing him all dressed up, looking slightly haunted himself, made me wish more than ever that he was here with me. He was doing so well on set—everyone was saying how natural he was in front of the camera. I could tell he was having a blast, but I could also tell that being away from each other was taking its toll on both of us.

"So, other than the haunted ravens, are you having fun?" I asked, hoping he'd spill a little more. "Are they treating you like a movie star yet?"

He shrugged, giving me that goofy smile. "Eh, close enough. It's definitely something. Half the time I feel like I'm faking it, but I just imagine how you'd handle it. Helps me keep it together."

I smiled, loving that he felt that way. "You know, it's kind of nice that for once I'm the one with the peaceful work environment. Over here, it's just a bunch of excited fans and European castles. You'd love it."

"Rubbing it in now?" he teased. "It's fine; I'll be here in my dark, creepy mansion while you're sipping espresso at some fancy European café."

We both laughed, but I could feel the tug of missing him in my chest. Video calls weren't enough, but seeing his face, hearing his voice, made it just a little bit easier to handle the days apart.

Travis' POV

Talking to her felt like coming up for air. Even though I was surrounded by all the noise and intensity of the set, hearing her laugh made it all fade into the background for a minute.

"So, tell me, how's the tour going? I need to live vicariously through you for a while," I said, leaning back in my chair.

"Oh, you know, just the usual insanity," she replied, her eyes lighting up as she spoke. "I've been getting used to the stage setups and navigating new cities every few nights. Yesterday, we played in this gorgeous arena with stained-glass windows. You would've loved it." She sighed. "But, as great as it is, it'd be even better if you were here."

"Say the word, Tay," I said, only half-joking. "I can wrap up here and be on the next flight out."

She shook her head, smiling but looking a little sad. "I know you would. But I want you to enjoy this too. It's your turn to be the superstar for a change."

Just then, someone on set called out for me, letting me know it was time to head back for another scene. I looked back at her, reluctant to hang up.

"Alright, I should probably get going. I'll call you tonight?" I asked, not wanting to let go just yet.

"Yeah, definitely. Knock 'em dead, Travis," she said with a smile.

"Will do. Love you, Tay," I said softly, giving her one last smile.

"Love you too," she replied, and as I ended the call, I could still feel her presence with me, like she was right there, cheering me on.

Taylor's POV

As soon as we hung up, I felt the pang of distance hit all over again. I knew how hard he was working and how much this meant to him, but that didn't make missing him any easier. I looked out over the European skyline from my hotel room and thought about how much more beautiful it would look if he were standing next to me.

But I could feel the pride swelling in my chest, too. Watching him chase his dreams, seeing him push himself in this new direction—it reminded me of why I fell for him in the first place. Travis was all heart, and he threw himself into everything he did, including loving me.

I sighed, pouring myself a coffee and looking out over the city. Soon, I told myself. We'd be together soon.

Travis' POV

The scene we were shooting that night was in a dimly lit attic filled with cobwebs and creaky old furniture. As I went through the motions, my mind kept drifting back to her, and I knew it showed. Between takes, my co-star leaned over, smirking.

"Daydreaming about someone special?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Caught me," I said with a chuckle. "My girl's in Europe, and I'm counting down the days 'til I can see her."

She laughed. "Romantic guy, huh? Well, hold onto that—it'll help you get through the creepy vibes in here."

After we wrapped up, I grabbed my phone and scrolled through a few photos of us, my favorite one of her laughing at some joke I made. I sent her a quick text, knowing it was late over there but hoping she'd see it when she woke up.

Wish you were here. Miss you. Let's plan our first night back together—your pick.

I hit send, feeling a little lighter. Even though we were worlds apart, I knew we were in this together. And soon, we'd be back where we belonged—side by side, taking on the world together.
