Late July 2023 - (Set after the podcast episode and before Taylor had responded)

Travis' POV
I pulled into the team gym. Training camp starts in a week or so but lots of people usually come to train and get into shape at the team gym before the season starts and with a lot on my plate and mind at the moment with the whole Taylor Swift thing and getting ready for the new season, and having to process Jason telling me it might be his last season I've been throwing myself into work even more than usual pushing myself further and further to try take everything off my mind.

I walk through the door. Today's leg day. Ugh. I pull my AirPods out of my pocket and open Spotify. I scroll through my playlists and nothing really seems quite right for the mood I'm in right now even though I have the most varied mix of rap, pop, hip hop contemporary and sad music on my phone it should be concerning.

I find one playlist I compiled maybe 10 years ago when I first got Spotify in 2013. It's the thirteenth playlist I ever made and it's called 'Blondie' I open it to find a 5 hour long playlist full of Red, Speak Now and Fearless. I smile to myself remembering the celebrity crush that I never quite got over.

I put Taylor Swift on blast on my podcast two weeks ago after going to one of her incredible concerts at Arrowhead and some part of me hoped it would work. It's been pretty lonely just me and there's only so long I can carry on playing football for and after that what comes next? I've cried to folklore and evermore enough in the past year and it's only got worse as I was basically left on delivered by the most famous woman on the planet. 

That might be a bit harsh on her but come on, with the Saunders brothers, Coach Reid knowing her dad and even the Tellers: die hard eagles fans and really close friends of Taylor you'd think she would have at least heard about it. I know I certainly haven't heard the end of it for weeks now.

I press play on the playlist and walk over to the work equipment. The track "22" starts playing and as I'm on the calf raiser I can't help but smile at that voice. I know I'd probably be in big trouble if the Swifties that have been stalking my comments found my Spotify account as this isn't Taylor's Version but it's still cute as fuck. I sigh knowing this is never gonna end up more than a crush.

Pat walks through the door a few minutes later laughing with Austin and looks at me as I'm smiling bopping along to an absolute banger of a song from Speak Now he looks up at me and instead of bursting out laughing at me like he normally would he just looks confused and gives Austin a knowing look. Oh shit. They better not have been talking about me again. I swear they're like old ladies in hair salons always gossiping about my life. I pause the music.

"Yo dude I'm happy you're happy and all but what happened to Mr Miserable sad depressing folk song guy that I've been stuck with since we went to the concert" Pat says walking over to me, "What song are you listening to anyways?"

"Yeah dude did Kendrick drop a new diss or something" Austin says grabbing my phone laughing.

I glare at him and he laughs as he looks at my phone.

"Seriously" he asks, "Blondie again? We're gonna need to do something about this situation my guy cause you're like a lost puppy or something"

I see Chris and Carson from across the room,

"Damn bro just got exposed"

"Yeah bro that's not even Taylor's Version"

Ugh. I knew the Swifties would work it out.

Wait how does he know what I was listening to?

I press play and it comes through the speakers. Oh my fucking god. I totally forgot my phone was still connected to the speakers from me playing the training practice playlist at the last OTA. Just another thing for them to make fun of me for.

I pick up my bag and walk out the door. I'm stuck with celebrity crushes for now.
