We have been at the other house for just over a week now and it has been amazing!

Every day I wake up feeling so positive and happy. It kinda feels surreal. It feels like it has been forever since that happened.

It feels like a breath of fresh air. Wake up, go downstairs, and have breakfast with mom and Rose; Dad has normally already left for work, going for a walk with them to the park, Rose swinging from mine and mom's hands. Coming home and having lunch.

I need routine and I've gotten that.

It makes things easier, makes things that used to feel so overwhelming not feel like that anymore.

Mom has to do some work today from home, so instead of going to the park we still take our walk but when we get home, Rose wants to watch a movie. I'm in the kitchen, popping some popcorn as I faintly hear mom sigh from the table, her head in her hands. I don't say anything, knowing she needs a minute to breathe. Instead, I grab a cup from the cupboard, put it under the coffee machine and hit start. I look over at mom again, taking note of her head still in her hands. I stay staring at her, watching how she rubs her eyes and threads her fingers through her hair, frustration filling her.

Worry now fills me, I only ever see mom like this when it has to do with me...

I take the cup of coffee I made her and walk over towards her, she finally hears my footsteps her eyes looking up, hands moving to quickly close the laptop she was working on.

"You looked stressed...I brought you coffee." I smile at her, settling into the chair that she pulls out next to her. I shuffle the chair over, wanting to be closer to her, her arm wrapping around my shoulders.

"You okay? Where's baby bug?" Mom asks me, taking a sip of her coffee, and letting out a hum in appreciation.

"On the couch watching Beauty and the Beast. I was on popcorn duty." I let her know as I nod my head over to the counter where a big bowl of popcorn is sitting.

"You loved that film when you were younger. You used to know all of the Beast's lines and forced me to say, Belles. It was cute."

"I still know all of his lines." I chuckle while looking up at her, a smile now spreading across her face.

"Mom...are you okay? Is something wrong?" I watch her take a breath, her eyes fluttering shut for a moment before they open again and another smile falls onto her lips.

"I'm okay bug. It's nothing you need to worry about." She takes my cheeks in her hands, pressing a kiss to my forehead as she then stands up, holding her hand out to me.

Conversation over.

--------------

The rest of our day stays pretty chilled out, movies continuously playing on the TV as the sound of rain sounds through the windows.

Rose and I were buried under blankets as mom sat across from us. She has spent the majority of the day on her phone, leaving the room at least every hour to make a phone call. I try my hardest to not let it make me feel uneasy but it's so difficult not to when I can practically feel the stress radiating from her. Especially when I can feel her look up and stare at me every so often too.

I can't help but feel dread throughout my body. It has got to be something to do with me, I know it. I can feel it. It's an uncomfortable feeling, why won't she just tell me?

"Pasta for dinner my little bugs?" Mom asks us as she stands up from the couch, and walks towards us. I nod my head to her words, Rose copying my action as she focuses on the movie playing.
