Quick little note, don't watch the video above until you've finished reading the chapter!! Otherwise you'll be a little confused. 😓😓

22nd July, 2004.

We continued to walk down the hall in the train, passing by numerous compartments covered by wooden walls. "You don't think he's dead, do you?" Luke asked, hooking his arm under mine as he frowned. "I hope not." I replied, closing my eyes. "Finding him dead on a time traveling train would be quite the hassle." I sighed, squeezing onto Luke's arm as I felt myself start to become anxious. That train confused me, I wanted to meet the inventor, crack their skull open and pry any answer out for all of my questions. How did they even create that train? What kind of materials did they use? My mind flooded with endless questions, yet I wasn't even slightly close to a single answer. "Did you hear that!?" Luke asked, flinching at the loud thud. "What the hell is going on in there?" I questioned as we ran up to the door of the cockpit. Luke quickly ran behind me as I slammed the door open, I immediately stopped in my tracks.

It was..Gabriel? Drew kicked him off, he froze as he noticed me and Luke. That look in his eyes, that wasn't human, I felt myself shiver. "What the hell!?" Luke exclaimed in surprise. As Drew quickly rushed up to his feet, he harshly punched Gabriel, making him land on the train's control panel. "Aren't you supposed to be dead!?" Luke questioned. A million thoughts rushed through my head, was this a rip in the fabric of time? Anything would be possible on this train, there's no point in looking for a rational and logical answer here. Gabriel stayed silent, he glared at us. However, there was something strange I quickly noticed. His arm was going through the control board like some kind of ghost, kind of like the way video game characters clipped through invisible barriers and other objects.

I hurried to Drew's side, yanking him towards me as I noticed that detail. If Gabriel touched any of us while he was clipping through reality, we would be doomed. "What the hell is he doing now!?" Drew yelled as he stood back. "Do not even think of going near him, or even touching him, both of you." I ordered as I cautiously watched Gabriel. "How is he even doing that!?" Luke panicked, his eyes wide. "I'll explain everything later, just-" He disappeared. "What the fuck.." Drew whispered. "Well, I mean if he wasn't dead already he sure as hell is now." He added as he stared in shock. "No, he was dead already." I said quietly. "What do you mean? We just saw him right in front of us." Luke asked, his voice shaky as he still processed what had happened. "He was already dead, though he was from the past. He was clipping through time." I explained, looking down as I tried to collect my thoughts. "This is too much for me to comprehend.." Drew sighed, rubbing his temples with his hand in frustration.

I walked forward, noticing all the controls as a million thoughts went through my head. Luke and Drew continued to discuss the strange situation that happened just a few minutes ago. I took my notepad out, I figured it would be a good idea to start noting some ideas on what our next move could be. "I think we haven't discussed the most important thing yet," Drew spoke up, catching my attention as I turned my head in his direction. "How on earth are we going to get off this train?" He asked, looking at me as if he expected me to have every answer. "The train stopped just now didn't it? Maybe we can get out." Luke questioned, leaning on the wall and glancing at the door.

"We can't do that. Not now." I stated, getting out of my seat as I grabbed my notepad. Both of them stared at me perplexed. "We're in the past right now, only two of us can get out." I explained, looking down at my notes. I figured I had to quickly think of an easier way to break it down for them. "One of us has to stay here, the others have to get out of the train and enter the past, I'm assuming the past Gabriel just came from." I flipped through some of the pages in my notepad. "Enter the past? That sounds fucking insane." Drew cursed under his breath. "I say we leave Drew in the train." Luke raised his hand. "Alright what the fuck? Absolutely not. Why don't we leave you here instead?" Drew retorted, crossing his arms over his chest as he faced Luke. "You're both going there, I'm staying here." I stated, sitting back down. Drew turned around, "No way!" He shook his head. He was always so defiant, almost like a child. I still cannot believe this man is a detective. "You're the only one who knows what's going on over here and you're not coming?" He asked, leaning forward. "Someone has to stay on the train, and I'm the only one who can figure out how to get us back, understood?" I said in a mocking tone. As Drew and I continued to go back and forth, Luke seemed to be zoned out, quietly in the corner.
