Fire on fire would normally kill us
But this much desire, together, we're winners
They say that we're out of control and some say we're sinners
But don't let them ruin our beautiful rhythms
'Cause when you unfold me and tell me you love me
And look in my eyes
You are perfection, my only direction
It's fire on fire, mmm
It's fire on fireWhen we fight, we fight like lions
But then we love and feel the truth
We lose our minds in a city of roses
We won't abide by any rulesI don't say a word
But still, you take my breath and steal the things I know
There you go, saving me from out of the cold
Fire on fire _by sam SmithChapter thirty six
Thank you” hammad who was sitted directly across her commented
She was sort of having a great deal going on in her MacBook that she didn’t hear his words until he deliberately closed the item in her hand which made her looked up to him more than one bargained for.
“Excuse me” she said
“I said thank you!” he said a bit louder
“For?” she pretended not to know what he was referring to or she doesn’t exactly know which event his thank you was referred to
“for checking up on my mom and also every other thing that you’ve done so far”
“I checked up on Mama because she deserve it and she’s a mother to me and you, and the other things you said which I might now and might not, you are welcome” she said and reopened her MacBook and forthgo
She recently checked her phone that was in her hobo bag sithen the time they left Hammad’s house and got encountered with khalifa’s text message
Khalifa:
hey beautiful! I am sorry for not telling you sooner. You aren’t going to land in Abuja you are landing in Lagos because my team and I are already here in Lagos. So, don’t be surprised when you see me in the airport, okay? I LOVE YOU!
She didn’t knew how her face looked like whenever she saw khalifa’s text until when hammad unexpectedly commented
“You love him that much?”
The grin suddenly dropped and she looked away from his gaze.
“we are not landing in abuja, we are landing in Lagos” he said
“Yes, I know” she tried to wipe away all the odd look that stayed on her facial
“yes I know you knew, I just want to see your expression for my words”
She knew all this while what he wanted but she wasn’t ready to talk things out with him due to how she found it unnecessarily worthless.
