"C'mon, it's just a second, I'll be back in a second. I promise!"
"Kat, you need to get ready. There's no time!" Her manager argued.
"My make up hair is done, I only need to put on my dress, and I still have two hours left to the ceremony!" She fought back.
"Okay, fine! Go there but make sure nobody sees you. We don't want any problems with Yoongi's fans, or to spoil your look for the evening!"
Kat jumped up and down as she clapped excitedly. She had been trying to convince her manager to let her go see Yoongi before the Grammy's. Her manager argued that her priority should be getting ready, but she was hellbent on seeing him beforehand. Afterall, they probably wouldn't even be able to see each other during the awards and God knows when they would get some time on their own again.
She hugged her manager goodbye, as she ran out the door. "Thank you, I love you! I promise I'll be back in less than an hour!"
"You better be!"
Kat pressed the elevator button to the parking lot of the hotel, ready to meet her private driver there. As the elevator went down, she took the chance to look at her reflection in the elevator wall.
The beige trench coat stopped midthigh, showing off her legs. Underneath it she only had her underwear, as she didn't want to wear the dress yet, to not spoil her surprise before the big event. Her makeup was enough of a hint as to what color she'd be wearing that night, but she couldn't hide it behind her sunglasses forever.
As her car drove through the city, she took the time to reminisce about the first time she met Yoongi. The Grammys were special to her, not just because of her career or reputation as a musician, but because without the ceremony, she might've never met Yoongi. She remembered how she got drunk that night and that led to her butting in on BTS's conversation out of the blue.
She remembered how handsome Yoongi looked that night, in his black tailored suit, hugging his figure perfectly. Complementing his broad shoulders, and accentuating his other features, like his slender waist, and long legs. His dark hair matching his black orbs and his outfit. She remembered seeing his gummy smile up close for the first time, and how his cheeks flushed pink every time she complemented his music. She smiled at the thought of the BTS members complementing her Korean, and how shocked they looked when they first heard her speak.
Before Kat knew it, the car came to a halt in front of Yoongi's Hotel. She ran through the lobby, and entered the elevator, immediately pressing the button that led to Yoongi's floor. As soon as the doors opened, she tried to run in his room's direction but was stopped by his security guard.
"Where do you think you're going, miss?" The guard said without even taking a look at her. The second his eyes landed on her face his eyes widened as he realized it was Yoongi's fiancée. "I'm sorry, so sorry Kat! I assumed it was just some crazy fan, I didn't even look at the face! I'm sorry, it's just that today has been crazy with fans trying to come here all the time. I stopped you just out of habit!"
"No need to be sorry, you're just doing your job! I'm glad you're keeping them safe!"
"How are you feeling? I know tonight is a big night for you too?"
"I'm a bit nervous, but I keep reminding myself that it's just a trophy, and it does not define me nor the quality of my work. What about you, how have you been doing?"
"I'm doing well, except for work. These crazy fans get on my nerves sometimes. Invading Taehyung's room or some shit won't do anything except scare him away, but they don't get it!
"Glad you're doing well. I hope one day the fans get the memo. Maybe if the rest of the guys would stop giving into fan service, they would take a hint. It worked for my band at least, and the 'Yoongi marry me' comments have stopped after he paid them no mind. Well, it was nice seeing you, but I can't keep my driver waiting forever, bye!"
