"Is that really him?"

I rolled down the car window to see him clearly. It was him, the guy I encountered yesterday. I could recognize his motorcycle.

He turned towards my direction, and it made me jump in surprise.

"What are you looking at, Miss?" he asked me.

"W-why? Looking what?" I stammered, caught off guard.

I quickly rolled the window back up. "Manong, let's go!" I ordered the driver.

Manong started the car and we quickly drove off. "Arghhhh, what are you doing, Seah? You got caught!"

By the time we got home, I had the helpers bring in my shopping bags and direct it to my room. I headed to my room to shower first. I ended up staying in the water for a while since it was so hot outside.

After I finished showering, I checked the items I bought and started trying them on.

"Manang!" I called for the helper.

"Yes, Ma'am?"

"Get me some orange juice and bring it here to my room," I ordered.

"Sure, Ma'am.Wala na po ba?" she asked, her voice a little shaky.

"What did I just say?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Orange juice, Ma'am.Kukuha na po ako." she replied quickly, almost in a panic.

"Good, then go get it now!" I snapped.

She left, and I went back to trying on the clothes.

I put on a plain fitted dress and faced the mirror. I turned around to check how it looked from behind. "This one's nice. I'll give it an 8.5 because it's pretty simple."

I took off the dress and tried on a skirt next. It had a slit on the side and was also fitted. "I rate this one 9.5. I really like the style it fits on my waist perfectly."

"Ma'am, juice mo po." the helper said, sounding quiet and respectful.

"Okay, put it on my table, and then leave," I said firmly.

Once I finished trying on the clothes, I felt thirsty, so I grabbed the juice and drank it, feeling relieved.

I went out of my room to look for Mom. "Manang, where's Mom?" I asked the helper.

"Umalis kanina. Pupunta sa company nyo," she replied.

"Oh, okay. Manang, can you cook carbonara? I'm craving it," I said, my tone was calm.

"Sige pagluluto na kita" she responded.

"Thanks," I said.

I stepped outside into the garden to check on the flowers Mom planted. And yes, they were absolutely beautiful and vibrant. Butterflies fluttered around, adding to the charm of the scene.

I sat on a bench by the side of our house, where I could see the buildings and factory smoke. This is what city life is like-you can't escape it.

I stayed there for a few minutes, watching the butterflies and the flowers. It's so maganda.

"Ma'am,luto na po ang carbonara mo!" the helper called from inside.

I quickly went back inside. I'd been craving carbonara for a while, ever since I saw it on Facebook, which led me to scroll through food posts and crave even more.

I went straight to the dining table and grabbed a plate, filling it with carbonara. I started eating, and it was so good, I almost closed my eyes with every bite, savoring the perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness in the dish. I ate until I was full,oh my craving satisfied.
