Frea and I talking about what to do first when the second period started, and later on, we’d have our break time.
"Hello!" one of our classmates suddenly greeted us.
"Hi, Irene? Right?" Frea said.
"Hi Irene, nice to meet you!" I added.
Irene is a local student here at Mertyle, so she knows every corner of this campus.
"Hi Frea and Seah, can I make friends with you too?" she asked.
"Ohh sure... Why not?" Frea said.
"Sure!" I smiled and replied.
"Ahmm, can I ask if you two can speak in Tagalog? I’m running out of the English words I’ve been saving." She uttered, then laughed.
Frea burst out laughing because of what Irene said, so we decided to switch to Tagalog.
"Ah oo naman, marunong kami, ano! Pasensya naman kung nauubos ang inipon mong English HAHAHA," Frea said, laughing.
I just smirked at what she said, even though it was all nonsense in her head. Pftt.
"I thought you two were hard to approach, so I hesitated whether to talk to you because you’re both children of one of the richest people here," Irene said.
"Ahh, hindi naman," I reassured her.
"Kaya nga, saka friendly kaya kami," Frea added.
"So friends na tayo ngayon, wala nang bawian?" she said happily.
"Oo na, Irene, we're friends!" I declared, laughing as Frea chimed in.
I turned on my phone and saw a few chats from my friends in America asking why we weren’t there to study. I replied to them and told them everything from the very start. Then, I turned off my phone and put it back in my bag again.
"Seaaaaah," someone shouted as he called my name..
"Why?" I asked him.
"Ahh ehhhh, ano kasi... ahmmm... I'm Raizen and c-can we be f-friends?" he stuttered.
I smirked and agreed to his offer.
"Bakit ka naman natatawa?" he smiled while asking me.
"Paano ba hindi matawa ei, nauutal ka pa diyan? HAHAHA," I said to him.
"Asus, Raizen, kung trip mo itong kaibigan ko, wag muna subukan, baka barilin ka ni tito! HAHAHA," Frea joked.
"Shhhh, ano ka ba naman, Frea? Nakikipagkaibigan lang yung tao, ei, binibigyan mo ng malisya," I scolded her.
"Nagpapaalala lang naman ako, wala namang masama dun, diba Raizen?" she said, followed by her loud laughter.
"Ano ka ba, Frea? Hindi naman si Seah ang trip ko kundi ikaw!" He stared at Frea and smiled at her. Frea went silent, shocked by what Raizen said. I couldn’t help but laugh because it’s the first time anyone’s made Frea shut up like that, her eyes wide in surprise.
"G*go!! Eh kung sakalin kaya kita ngayon?" Frea said, clearly irritated.
"Nagbibiro lang naman ako, ayaw ko masakal, chill ka lang," Raizen said, laughing.
"Ano ka ngayon, nakahanap ka ng katapat mo?" I teased him.
"Criiiing.....ggg.....Criiinggggg."
"Breaktime na, Tara sa canteen, libre ko kayo!" Raizen invited.
"G ako diyan, Raizen!" Irene said.
"Ayaw ko nga, may pera kami, you don’t need to treat us!!" Frea said, annoyed.
