(Your POV)

When I was 16 I met this guy named Sodapop. We were friends at first but things escalated into something more. Time to time Soda would tell me how he was gonna marry me and we would have a family. He promised me it would happen. I didn't believe him at the time because it felt like it would be too long to wait for that day to come. But it did. We got married. And the only thing we did now, was work. We've been married for a year, and we haven't actually had time for each other because we worked so much.

I got home from work at around 7 o'clock. I just slumped on the couch and slept. All of the sudden the door bursted open. I got up and glimpsed at the clock. Half past 9. Soda looked run-down. He works so hard. I feel so bad that he works so much.

"Hey Soda." I peeped.

"What's for dinner?" He asked.

"Not much," I coughed, "I could give you some leftovers?"

"No, I'm alright." He yawned.

"You have to eat." I told him.

"No, it's okay." He argued softly.

"But-" I begged.

"No Madi." He cut me off. It got silent quickly then I broke.

"When do you think, you'll have some time off?" I questioned.

"I don't know." He said angrily.

"Just because you are stressed gives you no right to talk to me like that!" I retorted.

"Oh please!" He complained. We both got defensive towards each other. Then he looked at me. Tears welled up in my eyes. I let out a cry. Then he grabbed me and pulled me close. I cried in his chest.

"I'm sorry Madi. I haven't gotten any time off and I haven't been sleeping. It's just stressful." He apologized.

"We haven't had time for each other, and... It seems like I hardly see you!" I sniffled.

"I know babe." He held me closer. He kissed my forehead. "We'll get through this." He calmed me down. He knew exactly how to make me happier.
