(Your POV):

"Lexa! C'mon let's go!" My older brother Steve called.

"Hold on!" I replied. We were going to a late night drag race with Sodapop and my crush Ponyboy. So I was taking the normal amount of time a girl takes to get all dolled up for a boy, it's just Steve has no patience what so ever. I didn't put on much makeup, I put my hair in a side braid. I put in my pearl earrings, and threw on a white shirt, Jean shorts, leather jacket, and my high top Chuck Taylor's. I ran out of my bedroom and out the door of our house.

Steve was sitting in the car in midst of the dark, playing with blinkers turning them on and off. I smiled at him and got in the old beat up truck.

"About damn time! My clothes were getting out of style!" Steve sighed.

"Oh shut up!" I laughed. He smiled and we drove off to the race.

We parked and we walked all the way to the long dirt track where we met Soda and Ponyboy.

"Hey Soda, Hey Pony!" Steve walked up to them and I walked behind him.

"Hey guys, you ready?" Sodapop asked. "Yup!" Steve and I said.

"Hey Pony!" I said nervously.

L"Hey." He peeped then looked away. I wonder why he's like that. Later, the two cars lined up at the beginning of the track and they were ready to go.

"Go!" The speakers roared, and they were off. Pony and I watched the two cars zoom past us. I looked around for Steve. He and Soda were socializing with two girls. Typical.

"Hey Lexa ya wanna go wander off, get away from our brothers?" He suggested.

"Yeah. Hey Steve we're gonna go look around." Steve and Soda had a look on their face and they stopped talking to the girls for a second.

"Okay!" Soda said.

"Don't get too attached to my sister Ponyboy!" Steve teased. Pony and I blushed. We walked and talked up and down the track.

"Oh my gosh look at that car!" I enthused.

"You're just like your brother!" Pony said.

" I know, it's bad sometimes." I agreed.

"Nah, that's good thing." He said.

"Really?" I said in disbelief.

"Mmhmm." He nodded.

We stopped walking and came closer to each other. He leaned down closer to me. "Go!" The speaker announced ten another pair of cars ran down the track, then our lips met. His hands were set on my hip. We broke the kiss and we blushed hard and stared at the ground trying not to make any awkward.

"Will you go on a date with me?" Ponyboy asked.

"Yes. After that, yes." I smiled and we held hands watching the cars go by.
