Since Ponyboy and I are in the same grade we usually end up doing homework together. So when my best friend, Johnny goes to the Curtis' I tag along so I can get some homework done too.

Today I went to Pony's by myself because we had a Biology project to do together. We were working in the living room when Johnny walked in.

"Hey Pony! Hey (Y/N)!" He exclaimed.

"What're y'all working on?" He continued.

"A project." I smiled at him. I guess I did have a little crush on him.

"Oh cool." He said walking in to the kitchen.

"You like him don't you?" Ponyboy asked.

"Yeah." I sighed. He just smiled and we started working again while Johnny watched TV.

Then later on Pony made fun of one of our teachers. We both started laughing. We could not get over it! But Johnny got up and walked out of the house quickly. Pony and I looked at each other.

"Go talk to him." He suggested.

I got up and sat next to Johnny on the porch.

"What's up Johnny?" I asked. He was silent. Then he blurted, "(Y/N) I've liked you for awhile and when you started laughing with Pony, I got jealous!" He yelled.

It took me a minute to process what he said. "Aww Johnny I'm sorry," I started, "To be honest, I-I kinda liked you for awhile now too." I confessed.

"It's okay." He said. Things got a little awkward from there.

"You wanna go out sometime?" He asked.

"Like a date?" I asked.

"Yeah." He mumbled.

"Yes." We both glanced at the each other. I knew I really liked him!
