"So do you have anymore meetings for today?" Lena asked as she tossed the food containers away. "Nope. I just had that one with everyone...and now I can focus on the rest of my work." Kara replied. "Hmm and what would this other work be?" Lena asked as she sat down on Kara's lap.
"Just some paperwork....really boring stuff.." Kara said as she wrapped her arms around Lena's waist. "Oh? I've got that too. But I'm not in a hurry to get back to it." Lena said as she leaned into Kara. Just as they were about to kiss Miranda popped her head in looking very apologetic as she did so. "Miss Danvers... I hate to interrupt but you have a phone call on your second line." Miranda said.
"Ugh. Ok give me a minute." Kara groaned. "I'll see you later." Lena said as she stood up. "I'm sorry Lee." Kara replied. Lena smiled at her fiancé. "It's ok, you can just make it up to me tonight." Lena hummed as she placed a kiss on Kara's lips.
"Mmmm...I can do that." Kara replied. "I'll see you later love." Lena said as she walked out of Kara's office. "Can't wait!" Kara said as she watched her leave before going back to her office.
Sinking down in her chair Kara picked up the phone and answered the call. "Hello?" Kara answered. "Kara! It's nice to hear from you! How are things going?" Cat asked. "It's going good, as I'm sure you've seen." Kara replied "I have been keeping tabs on things. You're doing an impeccable job Kara. I look forward to seeing the photos of your upcoming wedding too!" Cat said.
"Well you are getting an invitation Cat, so you'll be able to see it live." Kara said. "I know, but I still want to see the coverage on it too! Anyway...I have a flight to catch...but I'll be back in town for your wedding!" Cat said as she ended the call.
'I got interrupted for that? Wait till I tell Lena..' Kara said to herself.
