Mulaney on the Brainy pt. 3

" Alright, alright you two, " Said Minnie in a soft voice while walking between the tank and the duck, " let's take a breath. In and out. " She looked expectantly at the two. They did so but Funny's breath ended in another cough. " Funny? You shouldn't be by yourself because you could get worse. " Minnie warned. The Funhouse looked devastated, more devastated than hearing that he wouldn't be able to go out. The mouse's face suddenly looked a bit hopeful. "But, we know how much this day meant to you and I know that if we did go, it would make you feel better! " Funny nodded vigorously with a bright smile. " So, let's compromise! " She cheered. " Compro...what? " Went Goofy with a scratch to his head. Funny giggled.

" Compromise! It means to meet in the middle! So Daisy and I won't get exactly what we want but we'll have half of it! " Funny explained. Care-A-Belle pointed for Windy to come near her. She walked towards the tank and an illustration of Windy and Care-A-Belle showed up. " Let's say that Windy wants to go to the beach but I want to go to a library! Well, one way we could compromise is by going to the beach for a few hours and then ending the day at the library! " She said, the pictures shaking hands. Goofy nodded. " So, how are Daisy and Funny gonna com-pree-mise? " Goofy asked, Donald rolling his eyes at the pronunciation. Everyone thought for a second before someone started barking. They looked down to see Pluto wagging his tail with Teddy and Creampuff looking at him strangely.

Pluto went behind Teddy and pushed him towards Funny, Care-A-Belle, and Windy. He did the same to Minnie and Mickey. He then, pushed Creampuff, Donald, Goofy, and Daisy to another side of  The Funhouse before sitting in the middle of everyone. It took a second but everything clicked. " Pluto! You're a genius! " Laugher the witch. " I don't get it.." Muttered Donald. " Donald, half of us go to the Circus, and half of us stay here! " Giggled Mickey. Both Funny and Daisy seemed to agree to this. " You guys can enjoy the Circus, " Began Funny, " and we can also take care of you! " Daisy finished. Care-A-Belle suddenly looked up to the STA with a curious face. " Is someone coming? " Asked Funny. She nodded. " But to my home! I have to leave. " She sighed. Funny understood. She always had other people to look after! " That's alright, I think we've got Funny covered! " Mickey said with a proud cross of his arms. Funny sneezed suddenly and he shifted into his human form before he was forcefully popped out of his tank.

But, he didn't have the chance to fall since he had five friends already by his side who caught him. Mickey flashed Funny a reassuring smile as they all helped him to his feet. " See? Got em covered! " He beamed.

With one last wave, The witch made her way back to
the Land of Myth to help out more friends. Then, all attention glanced its way to Funny, who was doing his best to clear any congestion by blowing his nose. He shifted once, he wasn't trying to shift anymore today (but that was going to prove to be difficult). " Who's staying and who's going? " Asked Mickey, clasping his hands together. All but Donald raised their hand or barked as a way of saying they'd want to stay...which made everyone laugh. " We can't all stay, " Snorted Minnie, " Funny would make ALL of us go! " Funny tossed his used tissue into a wastebasket that was placed next to him. " Can that still be an option? " He asked hopefully. There was a reSOUNDING " No " that made everyone laugh again. Soon, they found their compromise: Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Windy would go to the Circus while the rest would stay home. Windy actually wanted to stay behind but Funny insisted on them going. It would be the first time they would have gone to a circus!

Teddy wanted to go as well but Funny was hesitant. Rightfully so since Teddy didn't have a disguise to hide his Doghouse form...yet. " Soon, you'll go soon! And I'll make sure that you see all the sights! Just l-like I..I-I..." His voice trailed off and he dashed for another tissue, the gang taking a small step back, but the urge to sneeze soon disappeared! " ...just like I'm seeing. " He finished. Then he sneezed. Twice. He shifted into a fan and then shifted back into a human. All three pups jumped onto the couch and curled around the groaning man, allowing Teddy to take his lap while they lay on both sides of him. Then again, who wanted to go to the city when your best friend was at his lowest? Certainly not Teddy! Windy flew over to Funny and nuzzled his face, Funny doing the same with a tired smile. " You take it easy and when we get back, we'll tell you allll about our day! " Windy promised. " Not a single detail left out? " He asked with a raised brow. " It'll be like you were right there with us! "

The circusgoers waved goodbye, promising that they would bring Funny something from the Circus before the door finally closed. All was quiet for a while. Funny felt sad for that short time. He really did want to go and enjoy himself but having them stuck with him felt selfish...why did that feel selfish? He would have missed three circuses and a trip to Saturn to take care of his friends if they were sick!  His ears flicked suddenly and he blinked to see Minnie waving and, soon, his hearing came too. " ...I was asking if you were hungry! Can you hear me? " Asked the mouse. He shook his head. " I don't think I could eat anything. " He answered honestly. " Not even Minnie-Stroonie soup? "

Then again...he did feel a small ping in his stomach that said he could eat on something!
