"I strongly suggest you get your emotions in check. Sajangnim can't come running to you every time you throw a tantrum. It's costing us valuable business," Minji's assistant, Hanni, was tired of having to watch her boss neglect her duties.

"Care to tell me why you have my girlfriend out here in the cold?" Minji suddenly walked out of the house to see what was going on.

Y/n still wasn't feeling too well so she had no words to respond to Miss Pham.

"Ah, I came here to get you! I just happened to bump into Y/n on her way to school," Hanni responded.

"That's a lie. Y/n isn't going to school today. She still doesn't feel well," Minji coldly responded.

If there was one thing that Minji hated the most...  it was someone trying to make Y/n feel bad...

- Pham Hanni -

I didn't understand how someone as smart and as collected as Miss Kim would date someone as pathetic as Y/n-ssi.

Minji was smart, extremely gorgeous, rich, and selfless.

Y/n-ssi was the exact opposite of that.

Y/n-ssi was emotional and selfish. She never cared about Minji's feelings or her work duties. Minji went running to her the second she started to cry.

"Quit staring," Miss Kim ordered when she caught me looking at her through the rear view mirror.

"Oh, and please don't ever talk to my girlfriend like that again. If there's something I hate more than a liar is someone who interferes in my relationships," Miss Kim threatened.

"You're not supposed show interest in my relationship with Y/n. It could cause suspicions around the company," she seemed really upset with me.

I never understood why she kept her relationship a secret. The whole company knew since years back that The Kim Family had a special interest in Y/n-ssi. Everyone saw it as charity work but only I knew the truth.

"You're right. Sorry," I politely responded.

- Y/N POV -

I was hanging out in my room when I suddenly heard someone yell something by the front door. I quickly got out of bed to see if Minji had come back...

But found Professor Kang instead.

"Oh, good. You're here!" She exclaimed.

"Minji sent me to look after you for the day. Luckily, I had cancelled my class for today. Would you like some breakfast?" She walked over to pat my head.

I was too surprise to nod in response.

But Haerin-ssi understood anyway.

"I guess Minji is worried that you'll do something stupid while unsupervised. Like get super drunk or hurt yourself somehow. Even though Danielle says your therapy is going well," Haerin explained.

I nodded to let her know I understood. But I couldn't help myself and ran into her arms.

"Auntie," I mumbled.

I had no idea what was going on with me but I did know I needed someone to comfort me. Someone who wasn't Minji. Someone who I could risk losing and know that I would be okay without it them.

"Auntie?" Kang Haerin-ssi looked at me oddly.

My lip quivered, as I attempted to hold my tears, but I couldn't hold it in any longer. All my emotions were killing me.
