Yawns filled the bedroom.

Minji was tiredly running around the house trying to get ready for her first official day as chairman of the SamSam Group.

Meanwhile, Y/n was barely waking up.

- Y/N POV -

I slowly opened my eyes after a few hours of sleep. Minji kept crying in her sleep all night that I was too scared to fall asleep, but eventually my brain was too tired to keep going.

"Dammit," I heard Minji's voice.

Minji was running around her room in a suit.

"Woah!" I jolted up from the bed.

"Where a you going?!" I asked very surprised the she was up and about.

"I have a press release today and I have to show up to the office to attend a financial debrief," Minji coldly responded.

I furrowed my brows. Minji wasn't in the right state to be out in public right now.

"Can't you just have other people do that? I mean you're grieving. It seems like you're setting yourself up," I tried to reason with her.

Minji stopped to glared at me and said..., "I'm a lot stronger than you think".

I tightened my jaw at the lack of consideration.

"Stop looking at me like that. Just because you saw me crying all night doesn't mean that's how I am," She kept on with what she was doing.

I decided to just let her.

Minji was deflecting.

"Alright, then I'm coming," I sighed.

"Can't. You're not authorized," Minji quickly denied.

"I wouldn't go into new territory without my dinosaurs. So, you're not going into a mess of things without a safety blanket," I coldly responded.

"You're not a blanket and I don't need you there!" Minji started to get irritable.

I just ignored her and started to get ready. I brushed my teeth, put on a suit, and readied myself for a pool of different emotions. Minji wasn't stopping me....

It told me that she wanted me there.

"Okay, I'm ready!" I walked out of the bedroom to find Minji nervously drinking coffee.

"You're not allowed to be there," She tried to be stern but her voice cracked a bit.

"You're the boss. You have all the power," I reminded her.

"You're a student. You're not a staff. You're not allowed to be anywhere near me without people asking questions. Don't You Get That?!" Minji's stress was rising by the minute.

I took a step back to let her know that her behavior was not acceptable....

"I think you forget that I'm the first recipient of your family's scholarship. I could come to show respect... they were my soon to be in-laws anyway....," I stood my ground.

"They were my soon to be in-laws anyway," Y/n was tugging at my heart strings.

"You're not allowed to be there and that's final," I coldly responded.

I looked at my watch and realized my driver was probably outside waiting. I had been too up in my head about letting Y/n come to the press release that I didn't even realize what time it was.
