Narrator

Minji's heart felt knotted when she reached home. She knew she shouldn't have gone home so soon after Y/n, but she wasn't going to let Y/n keep pushing her away.

"I'm home!" Minji announced when she walked into the house.

She got no response but she could hear the sound of a knife on a cutting board.

She took off her shoes and walked over to the kitchen.

Y/n seemed to be making a snack.

- Y/N POV -

I suddenly felt the warm embrace of my gorgeous girlfriend but as good as it felt, I couldn't bring myself to say anything.

"Not feeling too good?" Minji whispered in my ear.

I nodded in response.

I had completely shut down and couldn't even form any words that could come out of my mouth.

"Shutting down?" Minji held me tighter.

I took a deep breath and nodded.

Minji kissed my cheek and then took the knife from my hands.

I was cutting up fruit to snack on.

I wanted to ask if she wanted some...

But I couldn't.

"Mind sharing with me?" Minji asked as she began to help me cut.

My heart fluttered and a warm fuzzy feeling caused me to smile.

I nodded to let her know I wanted to share.

I always underestimated Minji. She knew just how to treat me and always gave me what I needed. She rarely complained... which is what bothered me the most...

"Take your time. I'm not going anywhere. I'm all yours until the day I die," Minji kissed my cheek again before walking away to her room.

I took a deep breath.

I felt anxious that I was in extreme shutdown mode.

I didn't like to feel like I was giving Minji the silent treatment. She hadn't done anything wrong.

- Minji POV -

I felt at ease when Y/n suddenly snuggled into my arms while we watched TV. She still wasn't talking but at least she wasn't isolating herself.

I always knew her shutdowns came from embarrassment or intense emotions she didn't know what to do with. I knew she did it to protect herself, but she hadn't done anything wrong.

If anything, I was the impatient one.

"Come here," Y/n suddenly pulled away from me.

The softness of her voice almost made me feel like I had imagined it.

"Huh?" I looked at Y/n confused when she opened her arms up for me.

I sat up and tilted my head, not knowing what she wanted.

"Umm-"

Suddenly, Y/n pulled me into her arms and held me tightly.

"You wanna hold me?" I questioned.

Y/n nodded her head before kissing my forehead.

I always felt weird when Y/n was the one to hold me and not the other way around. I liked being in her arms but I felt better when she snuggled on me.

"Umm," Y/n softly hummed.

I looked up at her and was suddenly greeted with her lips on mine.

I reached over to deepen the kiss, but Y/n quickly pulled away from me.

I giggled at her cute behavior.

"Kiss me whenever you want. Don't be so shy!" I teased.

Y/n turned her face away from me in embarrassment before pulling me down to nuzzle into her neck.

I let out a deep breath of relief.

Most people would think this is unhealthy and it could be if you don't really love the person in front of you.

But I was relieved that Y/n seemed to be feeling a little better.

"I love you," Y/n quietly mumbled.

"I love you too," I whispered back.

The warm embrace I was in was making me tired. I had gone through an emotional rollercoaster myself throughout the day.

It felt good to end my day in my girlfriend's arms.

- Y/N POV -

Minji ended up falling asleep in my arms. So, I had to carry her to her room. After she fell asleep so quickly in my arms, I realized how tiring her day must have been.

I also realized how worried she must have been. Not just for me but for Professor Mo too.

It must have been hard to get a call that her crazy girlfriend was yelling at her friend.

"Ba- tired," Minji muttered as I gently laid her on the bed.

I placed the covers over her and kissed her forehead goodnight.

"You did well," I told her in my head.

I still had no energy to speak.

I made sure to leave a glass of cold water on the nightstand for Minji before retreating to do some homework in her study.

I knew I couldn't concentrate much but I couldn't continue to let Minji down. She dropped everything and ran over to the university like she didn't have better things to do.

I couldn't continue to take her for granted.

"I'm glad you made me yours, Professor," I mumbled when I noticed Minji's old University ID badge on her desk.
